Has anyone here made their own bouquet? I'm looking around at some flower shops and bouquests are not cheap. I looked on youtube on how to make your own bouquet and it looks easy to follow. Has anyone here ever done this? If yes, how difficult was it?

I am actually going to end up making my own bouquets (bridesmaids also). I've never made one but it doesn't look hard at all. Just put together flowers you want to use and tie them with a ribbon. That's what I intend on doing anyway. I'm sure if you search youtube you could find a great tutorial video.

I'm making my own alternative to a flower bouquet and going with felt hearts and arranging them in a bouquet for myself and my brides maids. I'll also be making boutaneers for the guys that match.

I have made hand tied bouquets (from real and artificial flowers) for a couple of weddings before.

Micheal's also carries a few pre-made ones.

I bet that would be cute :)

Did you guys see the fabric flower bouquet thing I found the other day?

I often see so many great ideas and they look so easy to do so I get very excited and jump right in. The truth of the matter is by the time you buy all the materials you want and the supplies it takes to complete the project you have now ended up spending more than what it would have cost to buy pre made. And if you are like me it always looks better in my head than when I'm finished.:lafhard:

I really wouldn't say that's necessarily true. My bouquets and boutineers took my mom and I less than a day, was fairly inexpensive and it turned out to be what I wanted. Certainly some designs are going to cost a lot and if you're using fresh flowers, you're really going to want help so you aren't making thinks by yourself the night before the wedding.

I say to the OP go for it!

I made mine! I dont have a picture yet because its still being made, but it is very sporatic! Blue and green roses with little white vine like flowers sprouting everywhere. Fiance thinks its hideous (then again he thinks i just shouldnt have one) but i love it. Its different, was cheap and shows my artsy side!

For making the own bouquet is can do.But it takes a long time to prepare.some of them keeps the own garden in home or some where else.By preparing some seeds for respective flowers .pouring some and keep maintaining in good manner. It's 100% possible to prepare bouquet. Not only that, you can use flowers for decorations and some other purpose also.

I made all our flower pieces myself. We watched Hobby Lobby for the 50% off sales and picked up the best quality fabric flowers. We got velvet poinsettias, velvet roses, etc. No one believed they were fake until they touched them. For my bouquet, 5 bridesmaids, 4 groomsmen, 3 ushers, ring bearer, 2 flower girls, 2 fathers, 2 mothers, 1 grandmother, 1 grandfather, 2 guest book, 4 host/hostesses, 1 pastor, 1 tossing bouquet, pew bows, and plenty of other little details here and there we spent about $200-250... and the bouquets lit up, so there were 5 led units in that total! Large church... I think I had 20-26 pew bows/flowers. I believe that total also included a number of various candles for the altar. And it of course included all the materials needed (wire, floral tape, etc).

The pieces were so much sturdier, there was no preservation costs, and they looked amazing.

I made mine too. It's really pretty easy, just pick the flowers you want and tie them nicely with a ribbon. :)
