Anyone make their own stir fry sauce? We like a little spice, but not too much (think General Tsos). I bought a bagged frozen asian dinner thing and we ate it tonight but it as such a waste of money because all it had was the sauce, a few chicken pieces and a handful of veggies - I used our own rice and had to add a bag of broccoli.

It was good but I feel like the only useful thing from it was the sauce. I could make it much cheaper myself if I had a good stir fry recipe.

Anyone have a good sauce recipe?

I'm rarely organized enough to actually make any particular sauce when we make stir fry dinners. Stir fry or fried rice is usually compiled of a bunch of leftovers and whatever random Asian sauces we have in the fridge. BUT I have made this recipe before - http://www.food.com/recipe/stir-fry-sauce-204223. It's been a while so I don't remember the exact flavor profile, but I do remember liking it!

my brother makes an awesome one.. he used finely grated ginger and garlic, with lite soy sauce and a DROP of teriayki and a drop of orange juice. basically he will look into the fridge and anything that sounds good with that combo that he might have, he will throw in ;)

My dad uses teriyaki stir fry sauces.

I haven't made one yet but I have a recipe that uses Kraft Zesty Italian dressing.

I need a good sauce; all the ones I have seen in the stores are full of sodium and we don't like to eat too much sodium.

There was a good one at the store, but I haven't seen it in ages.
