Anyone reccommend a good sling to use to carry Luke around in? I mainly want to use it to carry him around the house with me when I am cleaning and such. I hate that I have to keep going into the other room to check on him!

I dont really know whats out there and I know some of you ladies have these so let me know which ones are worth the time and money :)

There are sooooo many out there and it seems like each one serves a different purpose. I have a pouch sling, a ring sling, two wraps and an ergo, and for the most part they ALL get used! For me, the quickest and easiest one to pop Hannah into when I'm just doing something quick is the pouch sling. I have this one:

It was about $30 and gets used all the time.

I do still have to use an arm to hold her, and after a bit my neck gets sore, so if I am going to have her in it for longer, or need to use both hands I will use a wrap - like this:

These are about $40, and again, I use mine every day.

I like the wrap because I can nurse her in it, wear her facing forward, and if we are going for a walk she is warm and cozy against my body and I can put a coat on over it.

We also have an Ergo that we use more when we are going out since it's so easy to get her in and out if it, and it lets me use both hands. Of all the carriers that we have this is the only one that Patrick uses. Ergos are more expensive (we paid $120), but again, we use it every day. It's great for longer walks since it really supports her weight.

For around the house chores like you are talking about I think a wrap would work well. It lets you use both hands, and it supports the baby better so it's easier to do more. It does take some practice to get it on and off very quickly, but after a few tries you'll get it.

I have a ring sling for Carter. I know someone who makes them and sells them on e-bay for $25 I believe. I love it. Now I mostly use it for out shopping and such. Haven't trying Cleaning and stuff. But I do love it since it gives me both hands to get things done!

I have the Moby and the Bjorn. I like the Moby but I'm a big girl and it isn't quite long enough for me to wear it properly, but it is great for keeping me and baby warm when I do use it. The Bjorn - so far Katie's not too fond of it. So I've taken to carrying her. I do have a ring sling but I have no idea how to use it  Might have to give it a shot!
