New Girl Here!

Hi everyone!

I just got engaged on May 20, 2005 and we are planning to get married next year. However, my dilemna is that my family and I (as well as my fiance now!) live in Chicago and his family all live in Northern California.

We are going crazy trying to pick a location and seem to be very indecisive. chicago? Cali? or somwhere else in the world??

HELP!!! Any suggestions??

In my opinion, it would be easiest to have it in your home city. That way when you buy things, they are already there and you don't have to transport them. My second idea would be go somewhere in between. Wherever you and your FH like that may be in between Illinois and Cali and just compromise that way. Good Luck and keep us posted!

All I can ask is, what does your heart say? Follow that and you will have your answer. Don't plan your wedding to make his family happy or your family happy. Make yourselves happy and then think of others....within reason.

Thanks for your responses! I am trying to go with my heart, and still I dont know?! I think I would like to have it there, because its so much more prettier...ya know, beach and mountains. But, I am not from there and having a hard time picking a place within reason?! Does anyone know of nice, elegant locations in Cali??
