Upper limit on pictures size?

Hi, I've been posting to my journal the last few days and I've realized that I don't know the etiquette on picture size here. I know that they shouldn't be too large, but is there an accepted upper limit?

I don't think there is really a limit on the ones posted yourself (ie; your website or photobucket) If you are able you can resize them to no more than 400x600 pixels ... as long as they aren't too big, no one really cares ;)
