Sean is trained pretty well. He grew up with a mother and two sisters. Then after college he and his older sister had an apartment togehter for a couple of years. Judy, Kelly, and Jen took care of the big stuff like toilet seats, laundry in the backet, and dishes in the dishwasher for me. God bless them!

Justin is trained. After his parents divorced he lived with his mother for several years. By the time he moved in with his dad he was remarried and he had a step-sister in the house. In college he lived with guys until we moved in together. I never had to tell him to put it down. He has only done it a couple of times.

Luckily, DH has always left it down. In a perfectly fair scenario the seat should be down and lid should be closed as the toilet was designed, but I rarely put the lid down (except when I am a guest in someone's house or there is company coming). If the seat would ever be left up (either by DH or another guest) then I would not make a fuss over it.

I usually just put it down...Jason is one of those, "it is just as easy to put it down as it is to put it up..." I usually do not make a big deal about it.

I voted I just put it down because on the odd occasion that it gets left up. But every oen in the hosue knows to put the seat downa nd close the cover so the cats will stay out of it.

I would say nothing and put the seat down ... it just isn't that big of a deal to me. Now if he had a habit of 'sprinkling' then that would be another story ;)

But with dogs in the house, most of the time our seats and lids are down anyway. One time I sat on the seat with the lid down

Matthew is trained. Lol...I'm not sure who did it but I would love to give them a medal. He even puts the lid down to keep all those nasty germs IN!! :D

I am a lucky girl! Mark came trained when i got him! He lived with his mom and 2 sisters since he was 12. So he learned fast to put the seat down. He also learned to put the lid down fast too because their cat would try to drink from the toliet and fell in a couple times. LOL. I love it because i am fanatical about the lid being down as well. I hate to look at an open toilet.

We had one brother and three sisters in our family, and my brother never learned to do this. I lived in a very male chauvinist household. :)

When we first moved in together, I had just gotten my cat Pumpkin and he was still tiny. So, I mad a big deal about how we needed to make sure we kept the lid of the toilet seat down so that the cat wouldn't think he could drink the water, or fall in and drown. Manish has never once, in the past 5 years, left either the toilet seat or lid up. I think it was making it about keeping the cat healthy and safe and not about me that made it work so well! lol

Jonathan always puts the seat down so I never have to say anything.
