I'll be honest. I love libraries, book stores, and even the way that books smell, but I haven't had the time to actually read a book in a while. I do have the time to sit down for 5 or 10 minutes at a time and read through a blog post or two. I have a few favorite blogs involving pregnancy and parenthood. I'd love to know what blogs and websites all of you moms or soon to be moms frequent.

Here are my current faves!

This is an offshoot of Offbeat Bride. I was a fairly traditional bride, but find that I'm an "Offbeat Mama" in a lot of ways. I've been lovin' this blog today!

This blogger is a beautiful writer. She writes about a little bit of everything, but really highlights pregnancy and parenting. She hits on fashion, culture, natural birth, unschooling, her own family, etc.

Right now this one is a source of inspiration for me since Paisley isn't old enough to enjoy most of the activities mentioned. It inspires me to encourage Paisley to be the happy, imaginative, silly child that I feel like she should have the opportunity to be.

I also frequent Dr. Sears site for general info.

I read Offbeat Mama and I have yet to have kids. :D

I like Sarah Markley's blog too, it's a completely different perspective (Christian) but it makes me go "Hmmmmm." Her writing style is pretty... typical of Christian blogs (slightly aloof, always going back to God) but she describes some of the problems she has with her kids and it's useful. If you're not into religion, just skip the God posts.

I'm not a mommy, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE www.kellehampton.com

I was first introduced to her at the birth of her second daughter, who has down syndrome. She has a beautiful way of writing and looking at life, and I love how she views everything. If you decide to read her, let me know.

Another one that I read sometimes is http://www.digthischickmt.com/

Reading blogs is a good idea while holding a sleeping baby. :) I'll have to try that more often.

I read a few twin blogs written by moms of monoamniotic twins but haven't really found any others that interest me yet.

I remember reading her daughter's birth story when I was pregnant and got some troubling results on one of Hannah's scans, I just sobbed and sobbed. Such a beautiful writer. I will definitely add her blog to my list!
