I'm really not sure...I am swaying more towards no. I am one of those have to see it to believe it type of people.

No I can't say that I do. Any "experience" that anyone has told me about has been easily explained.

I put dont know. I lean towards no, & like Amber, feel I would only believe if something happened to me.

How about this one Lacey, my cousin lived in an apartmetn that many others have ran from in the middle of the night not to ever return. She spent all her time either in her living room of outside. when her and her young son would come inside all the kitchen cabnets would be wide open. It became a normal thing to walk in and close them all. She has felt and heard creepy things. The cats hair standing up on its back and hissing at nothing, hearing her sone cry at ngiht about teddy with the red eyes. All sorts of weird things. The thing that made them move was when it effected her son. He woke up in a blood curling scream one night and as his mom headed up the stairs to get him she could feel something in front of her s if trying to stop her. She actually was tyrin gto get around it. She grabbed her son and ran for the livign room, the only place int he apartmetn that she felt ok. As soon as she sat the phone rang , it was her mom about 5 hours away from her who woke up becasue she had a feeling in her sleep that somethign wasnt right with them. She didnt want to go back to the place but had already told the neighbor she would help her clean it. well she did the downstairs no problem. then in the room her son was in she refused to go into the closet. The heard a mans voice and figured the neighbors husband was home for lunch. when the checked it out and he was not they left and my cousin had never gone back.

not to doubt you at all or any one else but if some one can explain some of this to me would be great. I grew up with my cousin. We were more like sisters then cousins. I have been through a few smaller things, nothing like what her and her son has been through. But I beleive her. She said the biggest selling point on their house was as soon as they walked in it they felt at peace.

Houses settle. Foundations shift. Old houses and apartments have weird drafts in them. Stuffed toys all have those weird amber colored eyes that can refelect colors off of them in certain lights. Noises bounce around. And, tragically humans are subject to scary feelings and dreams because they allow themselves to be. We just like any other animal get spooked and react in massive ways. It is called herd behavior. The "scary" stories get passed around and eventually people start to believe them.

Frankly no spirit on this earth is scaring me out of my first and last month's rent and security deposit.

So every time she left the kitchen every cubbord door would come wide open? Not while she was in the kitchen but rather she walked into the living room for a min. or left to play oustide with her son. And when it finaly came out that a young boy named Teddy died in the apartmetn, the land lord never told this to new comers of course. it was not a stuffed toy he was talking about. But again, this is what I believe. I understand where you are coming from. But I also know kids dotn make things like this up. They dont have the exposure that we adults do to all this stuff. Most parents wont let their young child, I thin khe was only like 3 yrs ol at the time, watch anyt hign or hear any storeis of this matter.

I just wanted to chime in on this...I believe a lot of times children and adults make this stuff up for attention or whatever reason. I feel that a lot of people do not believe in the supernatural because of all the people that have made up stories which makes the whole thing look bad. Again JMO...

I have a really hard time believing some of these people too. And I agree, they do make everyone else look bad too.

This is one topic that I am not sure about. I guess I would say it could be plausible, but I've never had first hand experience nor do I want to.

So the ones who have actauly had these experience are being made to look like idoits. well as I have stated this is what I beleive and every oen is entitled to their opion. If you have not been through any thing like this it is hard to beleive. If you have you never want to again.

Well I have heard some really reliable people talk about some experiences. I personally have never gone through any paranormal experiences. Like I said in another post I thought I saw a man when I was younger, but have always written it off as a dream. It probably was. But one of my uncles died when I was about 4 and for some reason I have always felt he is watching over me. Other people in my life have died that were closer to me, and I have never had that kind of feeling. I was not very close to this uncle and had only been around him a few times in my life. For some reason I feel that he is around me. I don't know why. I can't explain it.

Also the Bible speaks of spirits so I will say that I believe. I think some things are this earth are not meant to be explained.

Pleae don't think that you are being attacked Gwen. That isn't the case.

I simply don't believe in the idea of ghosts and boogey men around the corner. I can write things off with rational explinations. That is just what I have been taught tho think my entire life. I hold to that. I also understand that sometimes people tend to fill in the gaps of stories. While I am not saying that is the truth in this case, for someone who has never experienced something she couldn't expalin, I just don't see how this situatin, to me personally would be different.

I don't want you to feel belittled on your opinion. I don't deny that things could happen. I just haven't been placed in that situation.

I just skimmed the thread here so please forgive me if I repeat something someone already said ...

I voted I'm not sure what I believe ... I've seen (and thought I heard) some odd things in my past, but looking back on it now, I'm sure it could be explained away.

I do believe in spirits on some level, good and bad ones ... but do they haunt us, can they hurt us? I don't really think so.

I believe and have many experiences. i won't go into details as people will just say that I am crazy and tell me I am wrong but I believe and don't care what others think.
