I try not to drive and I also try to save money in other places in my life. It cost me $50 to fill up my gas tank. Back in the olden days, it used to cost me $15 to fill my tank. That's a huge difference, and that money difference is felt considerably in my pocketbook. :bbconfused:

I haven't really changed my habits when it comes to driving. Although in the summer, I don't drive a lot. But now that I am starting back to work, I will have to fill up twice a week. It costs me $45 the other day to fill up my car. But considering that gas was way more expensive in DC and Philly a couple weeks ago when I was there and even more a few months ago in the Bahamas, $3.15 for premium isn't something I am complaining about.

I have changed my habits a little. I always drive the speed limit, and do other things to help gas milage. I also try not to go places as much as I used to.

right now gas is 3.09 for regular, I filled my tank last week, I am so happy I bought a newer car, because my old truck had some serious health issues that guzzled every drop it got LOL, I try to drive a little less now because of price.

I voted no but what I should have put is yes, it has changed things because I no longer drive a gas car...we drive a diesel now. But we don't drive any less then we did before! lol

Since it is summer I have been driving less, but once school starts I will actually be driving more this semester. We have not let the high gass prices damper our social life either. We just keep paying. Right now our gas prices aren't that bad compared to other places. This evening we paid $2.80.

I wish the dang petitions did something but they don't. That said, we have to get on with life and so it hasn't stopped us from driving anywhere we need to go.

It hasn't changed too much of anything for us. I walk more often now, but that's more because it's nice and I'm trying to shead a few pounds. I don't drive much anyway. Just too and from work, which is only about 3miles. Most of the time, we go in Steve's vehicle. His truck get better milage.
I think our only major change is now, when we go out with friends to a movie or to dinner, we take turns driving and car pool more.

It has slowed us down considerably from our normal routine. I even changed jobs due to the fact that gas was so expensive. It was costing me for commute to and from the previous job about $100.00 a week. Now I pay less than $35.00 weekly for my commute. We don't travel near as much or go for those sunday afternoon drives like we once did.

We have to drive to work and we have to have the trucks on the farm....we both have full size 4WD GAS HOGS so it costs us about 70.00 each fill up!

Diesel is 2.95 a gallon right now and it USED to be the less expensive!

Everything associated with the farm except for the horses is a tax deduction. :bbmrgreen:

We've tried changing our habits a bit. But we don't really use the car unless we need to. I try to get mar to fill up when it's low to save a couple bucks but he thinks the amount of a difference it would be is so little it's not worth it.
