give me ideas please! wedding picnic

We are planning a summer wedding in southern tennesee. My fh has a location that is very important to him. Problem is while beautiful there is not a single location that is large enough for a reception tent. There are very large old trees dotted all over the lawn. Since we are doing a non traditional wedding I'm looking for ideas on how to do the reception. So far we've decided to have a picnic style reception. What are some ideas for how to provide some cover?

I think you can work around the trees. What about setting up umbrellas, like in this beach wedding photo?

Or perhaps you could set up some canopy type things?

Or, you could drape fabric from the trees - like this, except instead of the beams in this picture, imagine using the trees.
