Here is the bridesmaids' dress that I finally went with. It made me change my entire wedding from pink and white to black and white with pink accents. But my girls and I all love it! The dress is going to be black while the trim work is going to be soft pink.

My girls are wearing two different styles of dresses because my MOH is a little bigger then the other two but I will post both pics of both dresses. The dresses are in the color Claret.
This is my Matron of Honors dress:
http://www.morilee.com/dress.php?id=170&h=1
This is my Brides maids dresses:
(they no longer have the other dress on the net...but I will find one that is similar and post it!)
http://www.morilee.com/dress.php?id=441&h=1
Its similar to this one, only it doesn't have the belt around the waist and it has a little beading at the top around the bust in a "v" shape. Its really very pretty.

Just in case anyone is interested. If you find your bridesmaid gowns on-line by designers, you can order at a fraction of the price from the following locations:
www.netbride.com
www.pearlsplace.com
www.rkbridal.com
I ordered mine from pearls place and they were all under $100.00 - shipping to one address was $10 and NO TAX.
GOOD LUCK!

Wow thanks for those sites.. I have really been having a hard time trying to find dresses we all like. We only have one (tiny) bridal store where I live so I have been trying to do a lot online and this helps A LOT!! Thanks!

No problem,
I let all of my bridesmaids choose different gowns, so that they would be comfortable and I tried to pick a neutral color so that they could wear the dress again. I didn't want to just select the typical "bridesmaid" dress.
Most of them selected Alfred Angelo styles and they ranged from $70 - $83.00
What I did was visit www.bridalco.com so that I could see the dresses, but.. I did decide on pearls place because they were even cheaper.
GOOD LUCK!

I'm going to let my girls pick their own dresses, but the ones that I like are below. I'm going to make each girl a book that has ideas and pictures, and little poems and things about being a bridesmaid.

I haven't completely made up my mind. But I think it is between these two. Both in Burgundy. We are getting married on top of a mountain so I am not sure if I should go with the longer or shorter one. I know if I went with the shorter one my MOH could definetly wear it again.

The bottom one, I tried on when I was looking for BM dresses for my girls. It was really cute. What you could do is get the dress shortened then leave the sash long.
bnd94

Do you think it would look weird if she wear the shorter dress and my dress is long? I just got thinking about that and was trying to visualize what it will look like.

It will look fine! Don't worry about stuff that no one will really notice. My girls will have completely different dresses. Some shorter, some long, one with long sleeves (she's muslum). It will be beautiful no matter what.
Well, except fuscha and puffy sleeves.

We're making our bridesmaids' and jbs' dresses (my fiance's 3 nieces will be in the wedding and I didn't want to bankrupt them). All in all, they'll cost about $30 to make. The bms will be in a very light yellow and the jbs will be in a very light pink. We're even going to make the gms vests so that they match exactly.
This is the pattern we're using:

Those are cute. Your girls (especially the younger ones) will definately be able to wear those again without any problem.
Becky,
Don't worry about the dresses being shorter and yours being longer. My girls are in tea length dresses while I have on a full length ball gown. It looks very elegant. I am going to up the retro factor too and put them in little pink wrist length gloves.

Well so far these are my bridesmaids dresses. The price is only $60, so it won't break the bank of my bridesmaids! My colors are black and white, with accents of light pink.

They will be pink with a black band under the bust (and thinking of adding a brooch in the middle of band) and will also have black tulle coming out the bottom :) and each dress will have a different neckline.

I'm so envious!!!! I want my girls to go shopping like 2 months ago lol. It' still early for them but still I want them to go so I can get all excited about how they look!!!!
All I know is that there gonna be long to the floor, and a light pink. I'm hoping for strappless or thin straps.
All of these weddings are going to look so nice! And those of you showing your pics of weddings past, they look just fabulous!

My gown is custom designed, by a dressmaker that specializes in Victorian dress reproduction...down to the undergarments!
It's a beautiful late 1870's-early '80's bustle gown in ivory taffeta with saphire blue piping and underlayers.
My bridesmaids are in black, (except for my maid of honor who will be in the same blue taffeta that will be on my dress) in simpler versions of my dress with their choice of bodice style. They can go with the sleeveless, or with either of the two sleeve lengths. Some are self conscious about their arms, so a few wanted sleeves. The pix are in the attachment below. I didn't know how to make it display.
My dress, including authentic steel boned corset and petticoats, all custom sized and fitted and designed exactly as I imagined, comes to less than $750.
I'm $250 under budget and couldn't be happier!

I didn't know how to make it display.
My dress, including authentic steel boned corset and petticoats, all custom sized and fitted and designed exactly as I imagined, comes to less than $750.
I'm $250 under budget and couldn't be happier!

Sorry I followed the attachment and it wouldn't work for me but it sounds gorgous. Congrats on coming in under budget
