Okay Im gonna take a crack at this jornal thing :D
Here is what i have planned so far

Date : May 21st, 2011

Time : Night most likely 7ish

Place : Ceremony and reception will be outside at my FMIL's house in Oklahoma in the country the house is surrounded by a wheat feild and it is beautiful in the end of may when the wheat starts turning! :)

Colors: Purples and pinks and white (bright colors not pastels or too dark)

My dress!!!!! I just put it on layaway a couple days ago so when i get it out i am going to post pics i absolutely love it and im so glad i found it! It is Maggie Sottero's Ambrosia, and SaBelle well these dresses are priced at about $1500 way out of my price range lol So I was given a dress and i was just going to roll with it and add on to that dress and make it look similar and add my own tweaks here and there. Well FH's grandmother was going to help me sew and make the dress into what i wanted it to be so we started doing the mock up and when it came to the bottom she suggested going to try on dresses and we would just see how we wanted it. Well there was a lady putting a dress on a manican and what do you know it was the exact replica of both dresses combined! (looks more like the SaBelle)i absolutely loved!!!!! So i tried it on, it fit perfect and fell in love! And it came to be only 800 tax and everything :) I am so excited!

Gonna be pulling my hair out when it comes to getting things together and dresses tried on and everyones opinions lol
They will be wearing black converse shoes and spaghetti or strapless dresses that are knee length, something really flowy and pretty (oklahoma is windy lol) MOH will be wearing purple and BMs will be wearing pink
Or i was thinking about doing the twist dress that way all the bridesmaids could twist it their own way and be unique without having a different color

Flower Girl - Our daughter Lexi (hopefully she will be walking!!! she is only 4 months now and will be almost 1 when we get married) and also my MOH Donna's little girl she will be 2

Ring Bearer - FHs little cousin Little Evan (to walk with Lexi)

Bible boy- Walt FH's best friend Wade's son
Officiant will be FH's grampa.Flowers - planning on diy roses for the bridesmaids and everyone and maybe doing a brooch boquet for me so we will see how that goes lol
Cake - 3 tier cake that we are making ourselves (or we are going to decorate a faux cake with a real top layer and use sheet cake for the cutting cake)

Planning on doing a lot of diy work i have a bunch of really cute ideas so ill try to get on here an post frequently!

And i know i never find good deals at garage sales but i was on craigs list and i was like you know what im going to just look at wedding rings and dresses they have for sell for fun... Then i noticed someone said they were having a garage sale and everything needed to go, so i drove an hour away to go to the garage sale because i had a good feeling about it! Plus my dad lives there and it was nice to see him!

So i guess you could always get lucky! I also got a kalencom diaper bag (usually priced for close to 80 or over) for 5 bucks, basically free with the wedding stuff!

I just found a lady that makes homemade hair flower bows!!!! I had found so many cute ones that were either too giant for my head or too expensive! I am getting a homemade bow that is a white flower with white lace and tulle with rhinestones randomly on the petals and then on the top there are going to be a grouping of feathers curled back... Peacock feathers with a deep purple and little hot pink feathers! I am so excited and cant wait to see it :)
Nothing else is new on the wedding front except for i still need to post pictures and................

Thank you!!! It hasnt been that bad for me, thats why i was so surprised! Took the marriage license back to the court house then just went and took my marriage license to our closest social security office 1 hour away so got to go shopping too :) then took my marriage license to the tag office and bought another drivers license with my new name on it :)
I think thats all i have to do, i hope so!
I cant wait to get the flower in so i can take some pictures :)

we dated for a month then moved in together had lexi when we were together for 1 yr 3 months then got engaged after we were together 2 years

Yes we talked about it a lot then i got prego so we pushed that aside until he finally asked :)

How did the proposal go?
We were in the mall shopping and he said lets go look at the rings so i can get an idea of what you like and he showed me what he liked and it was my favorite :) then we go walking around and i was looking at victorias secret so he wanted to look elsewhere i think sears to look at washer and dryers well we met up at the fountain and we were talking and he proposed right there in front of everyone!!!!

Yes we both wanted a summer wedding and my fav number is 21 and all our birthdays are either 21 or 12 :)
Dec 3rd because my daughter was born on the 3rd and we needed to get married before he joined the airforce

Dec he is 22 and im 21

1st was very small only us the pastor best man my matron of honor and her husband and the owner of the place we got married :)

There will be our own written vows and a few passages his grandpa wants to read

buffet style... chicken brisket potatoes veggies salad rolls all sorts of stuff and of course cake!!!

Enjoy your time together and dont sweat the small stuff, and pick your battles... we have some many friends that fight about the stupidest things use your energy for other things lol

ok finally an update :)
should have pictures tomorrow!!! Sucks being at work all the time! I cant upload any pics and i dont have the internet for my computer so i am going to make it a point to go to my moms and do it lol

I got my wedding flower in :) I was so excited I have planned on making a trip there to get my mom a present and they called me on my way there to tell me she got it finished! Which brings me to an angry rant that is only my own fault because i am too passive and too afraid to hurt peoples feelings and i was in shock at first lol

I get there and she shows me my flower or what is supposed to be. It is very pretty just not what i asked for, the flower was supposed to be a rose this flower looks like she started out making a rose and then decided to make it into a daisy or somthing i dont know and i asked for lace as a filler in between them and she used tulle! The feathers were absolutely perfect i am happy with them!
And the lady in the store (who does not make the flowers) said it should be 15 because i picked up one that was 15 that was a white flower with bronze lace so i told her i wanted it just like this but white lace and different color feathers. Well she charged me 25! Yea a whole 10 more and why? Simply because its a "wedding flower". And there was another in the store she was selling for 20 and it was a rose with glitter encrusted petals fake diamond studs on the petals also and it was bigger and had a ton of feathers!

All in all i really like the flower its just upsetting that i paid extra for something that wasnt perfect. I will post a pic tonight!

So i found an idea for inviations (FINALLY an idea i like and i think i can attempt to do!)
I am thinking about making my own paper for them but i am worried about it not going through the printer very easily. And with the decorative paper under regular card stock with burnt edges will look good too. Hummm....
I want to keep it kind of vintagy but i love the recycled paper look with the spots! But i dont know if i even have time or energy to make that much paper!

Heres my idea! I was thinking of doing a burlap sack for the band (kind of tie in the country and elegance? maybe)
and i want to but a quote where the eat drink and be married is but i have no idea!

I did a facebook thing that said save the date blah blah send me your addresses lol i figured that was the best for me since our wedding is going to be so informal! My checklist said to send them out 2 months in advance??? What do you think?? Most everyone that is going to come lives at least in the same state or 4 hours away at the most... I do have family in Ohio and only my aunt is planning on coming but she knows when it is already...

And i know it is coming up fast i have been such a procrastinator with school and lexi lol i have a break until the 18th of jan to get some stuff done :)

Ok so i am buckling down now and i am in search of embossed paper! No one has it... I find embossers you can make your own paper with? I think...
Anyways i found the paper i want the actually wording to go on! It is a peal metallic white :D so pretty i ordered a sample so im going to see if its what i think it is!

OK so i found an embosser that i am thinking of ordering the Sizzix texture boutique embossing machine kit for beginners... found it on amazon for $38 bucks...

We're sending out our invites 3 months ahead of time too. We have people coming into Canada from the US and China, so want to give lots of notice! As for the RSVP's, we're doing reply cards (mostly for the older people who aren't as tech savvy) and we're also providing the option to rsvp through our wedding website.

Wow, Brittany, that's an amazing deal!!! FH got real petals for the proposal and he said just over a cup of fresh petals cost about $10. They look amazing in the pic, too! Keep me posted on how they look when they arrive. I may have to get that company name from you. I was thinking of doing flower pommanders, but if they don't turn out as well as I hope, I might just run petals down each side of our runner - so I may be looking for good prices and contacts!

I just got the petals in and they look exactly like the picture!!!
At first i figured they would be all wrinkled and small but they look like crispy petals :) there also was a pamplet on how to care and what to do if you like the soft feel of petals, you just put them in the bathroom and run the shower for 20 mins either a week or a day in advance! Storage isnt hard either just keep in a dark closet and dont keep in a bright place or fridge or freezer...
I am very happy with how they came :) Very fast and in perfect condition!
And i got a 5% off coupon if i need any more lol but it was a big box probally about 12x12x16 according to Tannys guess lol

I was curious too and what they told me is that as long as you keep them stored in a dark closet they can last for years... So i would say yes you should be able to as long as your dont refridgerate or freeze and just follow the instuction care sheet they put in there...

Ok well i found a dress that i think i want for the flower girl dress :) ill have to post it on here when i can take her to try it on, and it is 50% off but its 50% off because the sequins have turned yellowish (kinda that AB look if you know what i mean that look that sends a bunch of colors off like yellow pink and such) anyways i think i can deal with that but the dress is only 50 full price so it would be 25 and tannys mom said she wants to buy it anyways full price or not because we get a 25% discount because its a family owned business... And i found a really pretty rose that is purply and pinky and has pearls and pink ribbion coming down from it i want to pin the the back of her dress in the bow :) and that is going to be either $6 or free!!!

We pushed back the wedding a year :)

here is the picture of the pink and white flower girl dress... lexi is wearing white :) the back of the pink is just like the white and i added that flower with the pearls and ribbon to the bow so it will be that same flower on the white too... and the tennis shoes squeek when she walks lol she loved them

here is the really rough draft of the invitation lol i decided for the real ones i want to use a paper with that color but not textured and i am going to figure out a way to glue them together instead of sewing them... and the pearls will be glued on not taped lol

here is the rose i made and the other is a carnation used from the filters that were hiding and got dried with towels!! I thought they looked really cute! Plus all i did was wrap them around in a circle so simple and fast too!

:p Ok so big exciting news on the wedding front!!!!

but first a side note: Tan's mom won a ski trip for 4 and she invited us to go! He is asking a friend to go with him since i cant ski. So since we are going to be making this a yearly family trip, he decided that he needs his own (place he hates rentals, especially for feet :buck:) and it would save his friend from having to pay for his rentals and everything...

So we met up with some friends that live 4 hours away since the snowboard was 3 hours aways already (thanks craigslist lol) well our friends got married last summer and they still had their wedding stuff that was collecting dust and taking up room, well guess who let us have all that stuff!!!!! AND FOR FREE!!!!!!! :)

Ok well i am extremely dissapointed with the wedding dress place :(

so heres some ranting and raving :realmad:

first off i was so excited i ran straight to my friends house and tried it on for her and it looked like it had be tossed into the floor with a ton of bricks squishing and crumpling it up like garbage or something... I know its a big poofy dress in a small dress bag but come on it didnt even appear like they kept it hung up!

2nd there was a backing sewn on that they said they would have removed but "forgot" so they gave me a 30 dollar discount so whatever its not hard to get taken care of

3rd the lady there is so stinkin rude she acted like i was an idiot because she tried to tax my payment (my dress was on layaway so they get the total tax and everything then split that into payments) and make me pay an extra 40 some odd dollars...

They act like they run some high end fashion shop that afford to turn their noses up to people and be snoots, well guess what you should be kissing my butt for paying you so much for my dress and keeping it in good condition...

ok vent over lol

im just glad that im done with that place and i dont have to go back...
But i didnt have the energy or want to take pictures so ill take some after we get the backing off of it, and take a steam cleaner to it to try and make it less wrinkly... right now im just extremely let down and dissapointed expecially after paying so much :bbconfused:

Hey Brittany - I'm just catching up on your journal. Sorry to hear about moving your wedding date back, but on a positive note, that gives you more time to plan! FH and I will be engaged for over 1.5 years and I am so glad I was able to take my time and plan. Its especially good since you're doing so much DIY stuff.

Sorry about the terrible experience you had at the wedding dress shop. They're not doing themselves any favours by being so rude since I'm sure you'll be telling everyone you know to stay away from there. Can't wait to see your dress though!

I really think they turned out good! We are going to use those for decoration and i found a lady selling her boquets and boutineers on craigslist (stargazer lillies and roses) 9 bouquets and 7 boutineers for 120 bucks! already put together with pink ribbion at the bottom and added bling and pearls to the flowers :)
her wedding is in april so im really excited for it to be over so i can get them lol :)

Hello ONEWED LADIES :D
Its been way too long since i have posted on here...
Nothing new on the wedding front, my other friend had her wedding so shes gonna sell me a lot from hers and i got those flowers from that girl on craigslist :) they are just as beautiful as i thought they would be!

Everything has been pretty okie dokie lately, i got employee of the month recently at my new job (which is why i havent been on here, onewed is blocked at my work and i have no internet at home... but i'm working on that ;)) I have only 3 months left of being pregnant before the baby is here, and we found out its gonna be another little girl :) this pregnancy has seemed to fly by and everything has gone really smoothly for the most part... pretty excited that lexi will be so close to her younger sister! We are looking at either buying the house we are renting now or trying to land a house that is going up for auction July 21st, which would be an amazing deal and close to my dream house but my hopes arent too high about that... Just taking things one step at a time and so far so good!

Ill try to get on here more often to keep everyone updated!!!
