Was wondering what kind of views everyone has from their homes.

Do you look out to a stunning shoreline?
A giant grassland?
A boring brickwall?

Our house only has views front and back. No side windows because we are mid-Terrace.

The back looks out onto our little garden which is still a dust bowl. With a six foot fence about 7 metres away. From the back door you can see the apartments where i lived 18 years ago with the ex-Husband. And where my first Cat Sox was born.

We have an alleyway that leads to the back gardens of the neighbours. And to the right of us is the end of one of the Terraces. In the Summer the sun rises right infront of us and beems into the house first thing in the morning. But in the Autumn it rises behind the houses and doesn't come round until about 10.30AM now. :bbconfused:

The front looks out to a little strip of grass that separates us from the road. There's a Bus Stop outside where a Bus arrives every 15 minutes taking you all over town. Beyond the road is a School Field and trees beyond that. From the Master Bedroom you can see the rooftop of a huge Manor House among the trees. The area was named after the Manor and it has since closed down. Looking very sorry for itself and boarded up.

Considering we are on a busy main road. And not far from the School Gates. It is surprisingly quiet round here. We have super double glazing that cuts a lot of the noise out. Only now and again do we hear the screech of brakes when a Bus Driver nearly misses a fare.

Our front Garden is only small. So the footpath is only about 10 feet away from the window. When sitting in the Lounge you can see everyone that passes by. And if the windows are open you can hear every conversation as they pass too.

We have nothing exciting to look at around here, just neighbor's houses.

Our views are nothing special. From the bedroom we see the neighbors house, the spare room we see the street and more houses, the living room we see more street and house and from the kitchen we see our alley. Boring, boring, boring!

From our bedroom, we can see our back yard only. I loooove our back yard. It's small, but it's private because it's fenced and there's bushes lining the fence. And then there's a hill after the fence in the back before it leads to more houses, which makes it even more private.

From the other windows, you can mostly just see houses, except in the bedroom that's on the same side as ours, where you can see the back yard.

All of our windows face the same direction: towards downtown Seattle. It's pretty cool at night.

Well I live in a mini home park so completely surrounded by neighbors but from our deck because we are on a hill we can see glimpses of the river.

There's a huge tree outside my bedroom window and the palm fronds on it make it virtually impossible for anyone to see in. :)

We have neighbors around us too, but they aren't like super close so we have a good amount of yard (we live on about an acre of land) and trees to look at. This is out of every window. When the leaves have fallen off, we can get a glimpse of the small lake a few houses down.

I really like where we live though. About 1/4 mile down the road there is a marsh and railroad track (we can hear the humming of it faintly at night which is really calming to me) and then another 1/4 mile down the road the other way its nothing but farm fields and the occasional house.

Okay, so I know that this is probably so silly to most of you, but being from Houston - I am very excited to see hills out my window now that we live in Austin!! Of course, I also see other apartments in our complex, but I just ignore that part. ;)

Here's the view -

The apartments across the street and the back of speedway.. And from the other window the fence, our cars, and the apartment building next door. Nothing exciting here. =/ Even remotely.

I could not resist this. Beautiful sunset, and from my apartment window I see this:

I have a golf course behind my house, and a brick wall on each side. The front yard looks out to the neighbors house, so nothing too exciting.

i'm too tired to get up off my rump but i took a pic of our view out all the windows from where i'm sitting:

it's really pretty in the summer and fall... but it stinks b/c behind that is a highway so when the leaves fall i can see the highway and the noise from the cars gets louder...

Doesn't look like much, but sometimes it feels like we live in a park with all the trees. We live in a 'garden' level apartment so we see stuff from a lower angle.

Don't know if you can tell, but we can see the pool and pavilion from our apartment. Very park like.
