Ok, so FH and I are going to do a mini-engagement session not this weekend but next. We are having one of our friends do it, to cut some costs. She has a stellar camera and has taken a ton of photography classes. We are heading up with our car club to a local state park. So what I need from you guys is some advice of pictures/poses to take. There's a scenic overlook (pictures below) that I know I want to get some pictures in front of. Was also thinking of taking a few in the woods there. The other thing I want to get a few pictures with is FH's car. He takes so much pride in his "other girlfriend" as I refer to it as, so I'd like to get a few shots of us with his car.

Any suggestions on poses near the scenic overlook? And poses near his car? Thanks in advance. Pictures below of a recent trip we took to the park (at the scenic overlook) and a picture of his car so that we can all visualize this LOL. (Please pardon my dumb faces in most of them.

Also as far as dress, I was thinking him in a black polo with jeans, and me in a white v-neck with khakis ... Let me know what y'all think about that too!
Thanks again!!

I think a shot of him in the car, with sunglasses on, but his hand pulling them down, looking out at you in front of the car would be cute!

Also maybe you kissing in the car with the photographer taking a pic from the back of the car?

Also, role reversals would be cool. Him sitting on the curb while it looks like you are changing the tire. I seen this on a trash the dress pic that Mitch posted, looked really cute.

We are definately going to do a role reversal picture - also thinking of doing a pic of us with our elbows on the hood hands in palms, staring at each other :)

Also went out with our friend tonight to a parking garage overlooking the skyline to take picture of his car (this is what Mustang owners do lol) so we decided to take some pictures of us against the skyline at night ... Will post them up when my friend sends them to me!

Here are three of my favorite pictures from tonight ... I think they came out good for being an untrained photographer, on a not-so-professional camera, at night. LoL. We are lucky enough to live about 20 minutes from Albany (NY's capital) and there's actually quite a few nice buildings down here to take pix in front of! Enjoy!!

And yes I am wearing FH's hoodie :) It was sooo cold on top of a 5 story parking garage lol!

The white v-neck with khakis sounds awesome but I'm not so sure about the jeans. It might look too 'common'.

Didn't want to start a whole new thread, so I'm reviving my old one from the dead. We are doing our professional engagement shoot on Saturday Feb. 26th! We are going to this great park/garden near us. Hoping to get some great shots in the snow. We're doing it at sunset, so hopefully it'll turn out great. But what the heck do we wear? Money's tight right now, but if need be, we can buy some new outfits. I have no idea where to even go with the outfit coordination.

Any advice would be mucho appreciated!

Found this winter engagement shoot by a local photographer that I blog stalk. I love their outfits, FH could do the guys outfit easily. I could pull off the first outfit, but I wouldn't know where to buy a cute sweater dress and some nice boots without spending a fortune. Ideas? Ready GO!

Sweater dresses were on super sale at JC Penny, Sears, Kohls etc! :)

I decided against the sweater dress idea. One outfit is going to be khakis with a nice sweater and my nice white down vest.

Other outfit is going to be jeans tucked into boots, with a cardigan and a nice scarf.

These are the boots I just ordered!

I love those boots! I wish I could wear them. I can never get them over my calf. :(

Can't wait to see your engagement shots! You two are adorable together. I like your outfit choices. Nice and simple. :)

Weeeee I got my boots today in the mail :). They are hott and fit perfectly. I need to break them in a little, but they are awesome! Now I need to go buy some skinny jeans to tuck into them! I really am pumped though!
