I just called them and asked them if they were coming and of course voiced my dissappointment that they didn't send it back but in a nice way. ;)

I called them. I had a ton of jack asses who didn't get back to me. You all know me well enough to know that confrontation doesn't spook me. I called them, told them they didn't mail me back the RSVP card with the self addressed stamped envelope, and I told them that if I didn't hear from them by such and such a date that there woudln't be food for them. A few called me back and apologized for being ignorant, rude, people. the rest, didn't show. It was a good thing too, at $100+ per person, there wasn't any spare food. Although I did have several people say they were coming and didn't show. Wussies couldn't have just said no, could they?

We are not going to have guests RSVP. I really would like to but, around here, most people wont send the response back and would then show up anyway. And it seems to me that calling at least 75% of the people on the list is just a waist of time. It would just be tons of hassle that I dont want to deal with.
BUT, I put that I would give them a call b/c thats what I would do if we were having guests RSVP.

I'll be calling them. I cant have too much uncertainty with a minimum and maximum at the site... I also dont want my parents paying for a lot of unexpected guests.

I didn't do RSVP's. There will be plenty of food for everyone and if we have leftovers, it can be frozen..

That is exactly what I am doing, but I have a security guard at the gate that will be checking names. If their name is not on the list they may not be let in.

I am going to tar and feather and then dissown each and every one of them!
Arggghhhh .... most everyone who has sent back their RSVP are not related to us; they are friends or coworkers. We have slackers on both sides of the fence. One of my brother's actually told my mother that he couldn't make it (hello! she's not paying for the wedding, we are). He still hasn't told me.

Shoot them. (just kidding!)
I called them, I wish I would have thought to say something about the SASE and such like Lacey! That's great!
