Congratulations, and welcome to Onewed!! Yes, we have had and will be having some more western weddings here at Onewed. As a matter of fact, we had a western wedding weekend before last (Ellen's) and we are having one this weekend (Lisa's). So you have come to the right place!!! :D

I would suggest going to western wear stores around your area and finding some nice skirts for your bridesmaids. Have the guys wear jeans, hats, boots, and maybe a tuxedo jacket with a western tie.
Have your guest sit on hay bales instead of chairs, but do have some chairs set up for any elderly or people with special needs.
Here is another site where you can request a catalogue:

Here is an idea I f
Countrified Altar
Especially effective if you're getting married outside, use country wood or latticework to create your altar/trellis for a Western look. Tie bunches of zinnia to wooden fenceposts used as an altar, or weave wheat into latticework for a ceremony look that's both symbolic and beautiful.

This is how I decorated the tables in order to blend the cowboy hats and red rose theme

All the groomsmen and my father and the ringbearers wore black tuxes and boots and cowboy hats

I went with Western/Elegant (I came up with that one myself LOL) Black Cowboy hats and red roses was the major theme points.....most of the decor was made by me or Eric or his family or mine. I made my own bouqets and bouts and table centerpieces.
