Who mows the lawn?

Right now a lawn company mows our grass. The only reason is because our roommate is the second in comand of a lawn company so it gets done for free. When it is Justin and I he will be doing it.

One of the few upsides of living in an apartment is that we do not have to worry about the lawn!!!

I picked other, because I own my own condo and the front is taken care of by the Homeowner's Association. But the back is on me. So, to be quite honest, it just doesn't get done. Because there's no grass because grass doesn't grow in the desert without adding water to it. lol :D

I know some people who live out in West Texas that just have rocks for a lawn because you really can't get much to grow out there in the desert unless you water it continously. Even then sometimes it is just weeds anyway. A rock lawn can be nice.

Mine is just dirt, but my dogs like it. And my grandbaby loves to come over and dig in it. I can't get grass to grow out there, unless I watered it continuously and it would run my water bill sky high. It's just not worth it.

I live in an apartment building with just 2 apartments and the grounds are taken care of. If we had a lawn to mow my husband would be doing it not me. He used to mow his lawn back in WV all the time. He likes renting for now. If something breaks call the lanlord, not try to find the moeny to fix it.

Right now we live in an apartment, so it's taken care of. However, when we move into a house in a few months, that will be DH's job. I don't do lawns or snow shoveling.

It's a joint effort but once we're on the farm the ride on mower will do it! :D

We live in a townhouse. So, the homeowners association takes care of the grass in the front. As for the back, it is all patio stones, so no worries there. In a year or so when we get a house with an actual yard, it will be a lawn service. Sean doesn't have the time to do it. I don't have the desire.

LOL, up until the other day I was begining to think no one did it anymore ... the grass had gotten almost knee high. :bblol: The dogs thought they were in the jungle ;)
Seriously though, DH does it, usually once a week or so in the peek season. He had just been busy for a few weeks ;)

We just moved and right now our lawn is all weeds. My dad cam over and sprayed it to just kill everything. (he farms so he had some left over from doing the fields). Then we are going to bring some better topsoil up from the river and start over. Right now our yard is compromised of mostly clay, a little dirt, & rocks. When we do eventually get a yard w/ grass Clayton will do it. (His dad just recentley purchased a skaggs lawnmower for around $8000) If you cant tell his family is NUTS about the lawn. LOL

I'm with you. You would have to force me with a big stick to mow the lawn. Justin will do it when we move out of here, but he likes that outdoor type work. I don't like a lot of outdoor work. The only kind of outdoor work I enjoy is the flowerbed, but only until it gets really hot. I also don't mind working with animals, but not in the heat of the day.

Right now FH does it for my parents... We have a riding lawn mower and he just hops on and gets it done. FH also does the same thing at his house for his parents.

My DH does it all the time. I love yard work and would quite honestly be happy to help him with it. But I have allergies and one of them is allergic to grass. I used to mow my own yard and wore one of those masks, but as soon as my husband found out I was allergic he would not even let me outside when it is being done. It is so nice to have a husband who is concerned for my health.

It is a joint effort, though I do it most of the time. I like to get out and mow the lawn. Good excersize. Ours has the gears that drive itself but I always turn it off.

We have a couple lawn mowers so we do it together. We both feel that the sooner we get it done the sooner we can go fourwheeling! :D

I did it the first few times after I moved and Eric mowed it last Friday for me because I didn't feel too good and it was hotter than hell outside. One of us will do it weekly, he likes to do it and so do I. We have a riding lawn mower and a push mower for around the trees and flower beds...he uses the weed eater, those **** thing kill my neck and back. We have 20+ acres right now with about and acre to mow the rest gets done with the tractor and bushhog.

The landlord's kid does it.
I have done my fair share of mowing. I can only assume that Hugh knows how to operate a lawn mower too :)

Well, since it's too frickin hot to grow grass here, and you can't mao rocks, I guess I would have to say no one. Acutally we have jelly bean of grass in the back, and J does mow that. It takes him longer to get the mower out than to mow it.

Well Brian had went out before the wedding and bought a brand new riding lawn mower. It was his job, but the last 3 times the grass has been mowed, my oldest son has done it to help pay off his debt. Brian says he has done a pretty good job and it can start being his regular extra $ chore.

One of the guys from the firehouse comes over and does it. Speaking of which, I wanted to strangle him yesterday. I saw him out side using the weed wacker around the house, so I figured I'd go say hi. I walked out just in time to see him Wack my sunflowers that I have been waiting to bloom. They probably would have by the end of the week had he not murdered them!!!!
