I have noticed over the last several years that strapless dresses are really popular.
Do you plan to or did you have a strapless dress? If so, what made you choose this type of dress?

There's not enough of me to hold a strapless dress up. So mine had very thin straps of Ribbon. Plus it's now on a Mannequin in my Bedroom and it holds up lovely. ;)

Mine was strapless. I am not well endowed in the chest area either. My seamstress took 5 inches off each cup, and I STILL got comments on my wedding day (from my aunts) that they knew it wasn't all "me" in there
I loved having a strapless dress. I didn' have problems with it falling down at all because I had a corset back.

I can't even do low cut shirts sometimes. Mine was a short sleeve/cap style. I have a hard time keeping strapless bras up, and the only dress I have that the strapless works for is more because it's designed not to show off any breasts (and it's really small) than anything else.

Strapless all the way for me. I love strapless shirts and dresses. Like Kristin, mine had a corset back so I didn't have to worry about it falling down.

The dress I'm currently thinking I want is strapless - and even if I don't buy this one, I want a strapless. I have just the right amount of ... "girls" for a strapless dress and to me they are more comfortable.

I wore a strapless dress, but when I was shopping it was the LAST thing I wanted. I had intended to add straps to it, but just didn't have the time. I ended up happy with it, but I also had a corset back on mine to keep everything where it belonged!

Mine was strapless and then I had it altered into a sweetheart neckline. Seemed to be the most flattering fit for me and I'm double-jointed in both arms and you can kind of tell if anything brings attention to my shoulders or arms (i.e. straps). :parp:

Mine was strapless too but I did try on just about all styles. I'm not well endowed either and mine was a zipper back but I just had a couple inches taken in and I was fine. I had no issues with it falling down.
The halter I tried on was definately not for me....and I think from there I realized I needed/wanted strapless.

I was so paranoid about the dress falling down that I refused to even try on a strapless dress. I had a halter dress and I am so glad I went with that.

Mine was strapless. I swore I wouldn't go strapless, I've never had luck with that style when trying on prom dresses, so I figured it wouldn't work out for my wedding dress either. I figured if I liked one that was strapless, I'd have them add straps or sleeves. But when I tried on my dress, I realized it wouldn't look so good with straps/sleeves. Also, I tried on the bra that I ended up buying with the dress, and it actually helped keep the dress in place for me. Had I not had that, I don't think the dress would have worked for me (like all the prom dresses).
Also, the dress that I tried on was the exact one we bought, and it was the perfect size! We only had to shorten it. Didn't have to take the sides in or anything to keep it up! :)

Typically when I wear a dress, I prefer it to have straps... but I usually like the way strapless wedding dresses look better than ones with sleeves or straps. Mine was another that had a corset back... once I saw that style, I just had to have it! Another reason I didn't want straps was because my prom dress straps fell down all night... I didn't want to risk having that happen all day on my wedding day. :)

Strapless for me with a corset back. I tried on one dress with thin straps and it just wasn't me. I knew I wanted strapless though.

I didn't think I'd want a strapless dress. I thought I'd feel like I was falling out or over or whatever! lol But when I tried my dress on, I didn't feel anything other then at home! I danced and jumped and sat and walked and never once felt like it was going to fall. I think the difference might be the way it closes? Mine has a corsett back, so when all is said and done, I'm strapped in that puppy pretty darn well! :P

I had thicker straps on my dress - kind of like a tank top. Since I work with wedding photographers I have seen a million strapless dresses and really wanted to have something different.

I am doing an off the shoulder... i am adding on to a wedding dress that i have and taking it from the tank to an off the shoulder to keep most of the decorative look to it... If i was buying my own i would have gotten a sweetheard strapless (i love that look)
But i think this will be better since everyone is doing strapless and i like being different :)

Mine was strapless. It wasn't what I intended to buy... but once I tried my dress on, I just knew I wanted it--even without straps! I didn't have any problems with it staying up--not that I'm very well endowed, but it was just tight enough that it couldn't go too far! :)

I ended up going with (as most of you know from my dress thread) the strapless dress. It fit me perfect and the corset back helps keep it up. I have weird shoulders that slant downward - my bra straps always fall down, so for me, strapless was waaaaaaay better :D

I have the same issue! Thank goodness for the sticky stuff they've been adding to bra straps these days. If it weren't for that, I'd never have a day where I wasn't pulling up straps constantly!

I voted "other" because I've got a strapless dress, but I'm having a bolero made to go with it, so I will be wearing sleeves, but my dress itself is strapless. ;)

im like alot of the other ladies i ended up with a strapless dress but when i walked into the store it was the last thing i wanted to try on... i have enough "ladies" to hold the dress up (plus the one i picked has a corset back) but i just hate the way my arms looked.... actually i intended to get something like a empire waste with straps but it just looked awful on me so finally i tried on a strapless one and fell in love! its actually pretty form fitting too which also suprised me! as i didnt expect to like that style either:yesnod:

I was having Long sleeves dress because I do not want to have tension of handling dress that day.
Strapless dresses are really difficult to handle. You need to have other persons for handling the issues.
I just want to be on safe side.

This is the best way to describe my dress, too. I got it made for me since I couldn't find ANY dresses that were like this.
