You and me both....
I had it printed out and laying on the desk. Brian read it and told my daughter to come tell me that apparently I havent learned these rules yet. I told him to go live in 1955!

Offer to take off his shoes for him? He's the master of the house? Don't question him if he's out all night? Uh huh - yeah.....

OH MY GOSH!!!!
A man had to of wrote that, if not it was an brain washed wife!!!
They might as well have said:
Men are always right bc they are the "masters"
It's ok if he's out all night, even if he's w/ another
woman bc afterall, he's the "master."
Be your "master's" slave @ all times! Remember! You are just a woman and you were made to serve!
I got a huge kick out if this thanks alot, now a days we wear the pants lol! :)

Yeah Brian told me "A good wife knows her place." I said "Yep and thats keeping your a$$ in line....." He agreed!
In all honesty, Brian and I have an equal relationship. I dont know that Ive ever had one of those before. There are things he does better than me and theres things I do better than him, but instead of rubbing it in each others faces, it balances us out. We like that.

Of course, I can see the benefits of of starting a fire for him to relax by when he gets home on those cold days. Let's see, for kindling there is the life size cut out of Terry Bradshaw in his Steeler's SuperBowl glory that lives next to my washer and dryer. (That occasionally scares the hell out of me.). Those old ratty Notre Dame sweatshirts from his years there (circa 1986-1990) that he still won't get rid of would make a nice slow burning fuel. And the two cases of nasty Iron City beer takig up my entire spare refridgerator in the game room would make an excellent accelerant to get those flames nice and toasty for his wanna be royal ***.

Question on item #3 "Be a little gay and interesting to lift his day" does that mean a threesome? Because let me just tell you, I like Sean and all. I want his day to be good and happy. But, I don't like him that **** much. So his day is just going to have to be dull and lifeless if it comes down to that.

Well I thought back in 1955 that gay meant happy.....that word wasnt used then the way it is now.........
But that was the first thought that went thru my head when I read it the 1st time too.......

See I could keep going on this thing. But, it doesn't pose a challenge to me. It is just too easy to make fun of it.

What scares me is how many women back in 1955 actually followed these rules? It explains why a lot of men around my grandpa's age act like women are a lower species...........

Oh my god, i can't wait to print this out and show it to Jerry. We are completely equal and he will get as much fun out of this as I have. Thank god I was not married or living for that matter in 1955. Now this explains a lot of things my mother has said to me. haha.

For one thank you Cindy for posting this. And two, Lacey I loved your responses. You kill me. Can you believe this. I bet Nicholas wishes I would do a few of these. I am not a good house keeper at all lol. And as for the kids being washed up and changed, yeah right, they are just going to get dirty again before the end of the evening lol. Why bother lol. Nicholas does more on that list then I do.

No... my grandmother worked a part-time job as an X-ray technician after she graduated from the Medical College of Virginia (MCV). She wasnt your "traditional" wife... she did have breakfast on the table every morning and dinner on the table every night when my grandfather got up and when he came home. The house was always clean too... Other than that she really didnt follow those rules to closely... She would be the first one to ***** him out when he walked in the door...

As a reference for item #2 could I get a show of hands from those of us who still put ribbons in their hair? Maybe it is the ***** cynic in me but I am pretty sure I grew out of that little phase 20 odd years ago. I mean should I revert to wearing the ribbons again? In doing so should I hold them in place with hair nets and Aqua Net hairspray? Or does this just tie into the "naughty schoolgirl" fantasy of the perverted caveman who wrote this?
This is like shooting fish in a barrel. It is so easy!
