Ok so my wonderful fiance Kyle proposed to me in probably the most romantic way I could ever imagine.
We've been together for 4 1/2 years. Over that time we realized a few key things we had in common - We both loved volunteering for our local ambulance corps., we both were crazy about each other, and we both loved cars - Mainly Mustangs!
So I always joked with him about putting a ton of money into his Mustang rather than buying me an engagement ring.
Well one of the biggest car shows of the year was on Saturday August 21, 2010. My friends told me I needed to have my nails done and look cute (I assumed I needed to do this since it's a major event in our town that everyone attends, I later realized it's because they knew I wanted my nails done and to look nice when the question got popped to me). So I bought a new outfit and got a fabulous manicure for the show.
It was about noon, when his family and my family and a bunch of our non-car club friends started showing up. I assumed it was because they wanted to see his car.
The national anthem played right around 12:15, everyone was gathered around the DJ booth for it. And right after the national anthem, the DJ was calling my name to come up in front of the crowd. My man started walking up at the same time (I still had no idea what was going on.) He gave a brief little speech, then got down on one knee and asked to marry me! What's better? He had taken my parents out to dinner two nights before to ask their permission!!! Of course I said yes, the crowd went crazy and people even threw little plastic wedding rings at us! Everyone knew, except for me! It was perfect and romantic, and the only way I could ever see the proposal going! Video below is of his proposal!!
