This morning DH was taking the dogs out like he always does (such a great DH!) and he was bending down to pick it up and he had Wrigley's leash and his cell phone in the same hand. Well when he bent down Wrigley must have seen something and started to run a bit. He has a retractable leash. Wrigley didn't get out of his hand.... but his phone did.

Now his Droid's screen is completely shattered.

And we for some reason didn't put insurance on it (you know... because we've had cell phones for like 7 years and never needed it).

He's looking on Ebay now and I think he can just buy a new plate which would only be like $60. Hopefully we can do that so we aren't paying like $300 to replace it :(

oh dear!! I hope you can just get a new plate for it! ugh I hate things that happen like that and end up costing money!x

That sucks, but at least the dog didn't get away and get hurt or something.

Hope you can just get a new plate and let that be it; hope this is not too expensive a lesson for hubby ;)

Yeah Matt was pretty bummed this morning so all morning I was saying things like, at least Wrigley didn't get loose and run in the parking lot, things like that. Actually he accidentally ran over a large curb a few weeks ago and we were REALLY REALLY lucky it didn't do some major damage to our car. So I told him I'm glad it was his phone that got busted up and not our car ;)

Yeah, stuff like this is never fun, but good to remember that it could have been worse!

Last night DH was trying to fix it with the new glass plate he ordered.... and one of the ribbons that connects the lcd screen broke. So he had his service changed to my old blackberry that we never did end up selling lol
