Well it seems like all the cool kids are doing it so here goes! Prepare thyself for a wedding journal full of farm and country life as we know and love it!
As ya'll know (and some may not) Eric and I were married this past weekend! I asked Eric how he felt being married and his reply was, "No different babe, I was married to you in my heart the day I met you"! AWWWWWWW, No wonder I love that man!
I am going to go to photobucket and upload some of the pics from friends on the big day and our honeymoon. Be back in a little bit!

The card tables have cocktail waitresses in micro mini skirts and stilettoes. He would be fine. But he has to concentrate on the game, how else are you going to get all that spending money.

Thanks for the compliments, her daughters (my nieces) check my journal daily so I know they have/will see all your nice words.
She is pretty cool (sucking up begins here lol)....you should see what I got from her with my keepsake garter (HEY SIS IF YOU'RE READING THIS EMAIL ME THE CARD SO I CAN SHARE!)! I cried like a baby reading it, it was pretty awesome....she put personal items on it and then described on the card what each one stood for and why....I had a 10yr service pin off my dad's USAF uniform, a pair of my mother's earrrings (stone had a special meaning) buttons off my nieces dresses from when they were babies and button from the interior of my nephews Mustang.......a locket from my grandmother and a pic of my grandfather (itty bitty)....it was very special. I will take a pic of it and get the wording off the card posted soon.

She is one of those people that can do anything...she sews, knits, crochets, can draw and paint (like a pro) and COOK.....oh lawd can she cook (course I don't do so bad either LOL)! Her Christmas trees look like something straight out of Macy's Christmas Displays..........and her hubby can build anything....he is going to build Eric and I a grandfather clock once we get the stuff to him...

Awwwwww, thanks! We had 6 on each side, 2 RB's and a FG...grand total of 18 on stage during the ceremony! We laughed and smiled the whole way thru the wedding....the youngest RB yawned after the initial prayer, the BM & FIL dropped my ring, I threatened to spit on Eric's finger cuz his wouldn't go on and we so could not "join right hands (we looked like Mo & Curly doing a handshake)" and our mom's high fived eachother as they were escorted out after the wedding!
IT WAS WONDERFUL!

Oh cool! I never had heard that! Eric was getting ready to turn and get the ring and his dad opened the box upside down and there it went...i started giggling and so did our guests...it was perfect, everything that happened that day just put our "signature" on it! I can't explain how all those little fumbles made it so wonderful but everyone who we talk to said it was the most relaxed, fun wedding they had ever been to and the GM and BM all said it was fun...not stiff and uncomfortable at all...
Thanks again, I smiled when I read that from you!

The dropping of the ring was a Victorian superstition:
It was considered good luck for the wedding ring to drop on the floor during the ceremony. They believed that any evil spirits contained within the band would be shaken loose.

This just in (Eric told me at when he came to get me for lunch) our 130 acre farm will be going up for sale by auction on October 21st!
We first learned of the farm/estate when the 5 children/beneficiaries began arguing over who it would go to and how after one of the sons offered to buy it for 300/acre. I won't even get started on that nonsense but long story short it is a secluded 130 acre farm with a creek along the back of the property a gorgeous old farmhouse, 2 barns, and plenty of land for hay, alfalfa, cows and horses! It is in the same community that we live in now and is close enough to his dad's farm that we will be able to continue sharing farm equipement in order to farm both places...OMG OMG OMG we have been patiently waiting on this for over a year now!
I am so excited!

We both have paid off almost all of our debt in preparation for this, we have banked a sizeable amount of money for rainy day situations and we also have his equity funds (from the shefarmer ex wife) to contribute to the renovations and building of the barn/arena.
We visited the bank and were pre-approved for more than enough (God I hope) to purchase it on a farm loan.
Eric will bid and I will sit there and chew my lip in two and threaten the very being of anyone who dares bid against him when it comes down to the final bids! LOL!
We both have excellent credit, very little debt and great jobs + money in the bank...Anyone who reads this please add us to your prayers that if this is meant to be then it will be.

Like the song says "Don't Call Him a Cowboy Until You've Seen Him Ride" (minds out of the gutter please , it's difficult for me too:bbredface:!)
I am always going on and on about my cowboy so I found these pics and thought I would share....Eric is a 2005 ARHA World Champion in Cutting (we missed the 2006 World show due to our mares having new foals and the wedding) he also won a year end ERHA "high point" belt buckle from 2004 in Cutting and our bedroom walls and fireplace mantel are COVERED in awards and ribbons reflective of his talent. I am very proud of him and when he enters the arena all our friends and show buddies know right where I will be...ON the rail biting my lip and shifting my body, (because I think it helps lol) as if I was riding too, and yelling out words of encouragement...a good friend of ours adopted my "GO BABY" and helps me root for Eric (LMAO it's hilarious)!

I bought them at Epcot the ears were 16.00 and the top hat and ears are 10.00....they give you the buttons you just have to ask for them!
I will see if I can find them online somehow....
If you wear them you get a BIG FUSS made over you....we went during the slow season and got to sit in VIP seating, sometimes went to the front of the line (short lines anyway) for the rides and occassionally got a free drink or something...there isn't a guarantee about the perks it just depends on whose working where at the time and how good of a mood they are in LOL! But they HELP!

Not really but kinda lol!
Eric works 2nd shift 315-1115....he is usually home right at midnight. This morning at 130 AM I rose straight out of a dead sleep and KNEW he wasn't where he should have been...I felt for him on his side of the bed on my way out of the bed into the living room and couldn't find him there either (thought he might have fallen asleep in the recliner....he does that sometimes when he can't go right to sleep after work), no Eric. I went outside and his truck wasn't there so I started calling his cell phone from my cell phone...no answer....I called our BIL (who works 3rd shift at the same plant) and couldn't reach him either. I then tryed his cell phone again but it went to VM again so I called the guard shack at the plant to see if he had left or if his truck was still there or if they could radio him (he wears one for his job) to find out if he had to work overtime....they kept me on hold for about 10 minutes and then told me that no, he wasn't in the plant, no answer on the radio and that they couldn't find him. They said they would try and reach the 3rd shift supervisor over his department and put me back on hold....by this time I was crying because I just KNEW he had fallen asleep on the way home and something horrible had happened....So I called the MIL & FIL (one the landline) and woke them up....they got up to come and get me (MIL was going to stay at our house with the BIL/SIL's little boys ((I keep them 3 nights a week)) ) so that we could go look for him...I know the route he takes home and I was preparing myself to call 911 and the hospitals if it led to it....about that time Eric's supervisor came back on my cell phone and really meekly said, "Uhm, Ellen....Eric didn't call and tell you he had to work over?" :icon_barbar: ARRRRRGGGGHHHHHHH! So I had to call off the search party and then try and go back to sleep...didnt' happen!
Mr Vinson, had to work 2 hours over and came down off a robot and was going to call me around 1130 but he got so busy he couldn't....he figured I'd sleep right thru it and he'd be home and that would be it....WRONG!
His supervisor was really apologetic and told me that he should be home any time now and that he would remind the newly married husband to call his wife no matter what time it is (because he had scared his wife the same way) if he was going to be late!
I know ya'll think I'm overreacting but Eric is PREDICTABLE....he calls me when he's going to be late, and when I couldn't find him and no one else could I FREAKED!
When Eric pulled in the driveway me and Sly (our cat) were on the front porch swing waiting for him LOL!
He did very well...he let me rant and tear up and go thru the whole..."I woke up and you weren't here and no one knew where you were" routine!
Needless to say I didn't go to sleep until around 3AM this morning and got back up at 630 to get the boys ready for school and daycare.......
Sorry so long...new wife ranting LOL!

IMPATIENTLY! LOL!
It went awesome...we went to most of the lands in Disney...IE: Epcot, MGM, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom...then we went to Seaworld and Universal Studios! Rode every ride they had that could possibly make me nauseous. We spent some good time on the beach just sunning, went on a boat tour to see wild dolphins and pet wild manatees...tried to book it around the shuttle launch but thanks to NASA that didn't work LOL! If it had we would have been 3.5 miles away from the launch pad (as close as the coast guard will let you get) on a boat watching it go up!
We went to the pool at the resort, laughed, loved and just overall had a wonderful time! No baby...AF came to visit while we were there but that only means we get to practice practice practice LOL!

Thank you miss Kacie! How are you? I feel like I've been away for so long LOL!
I am good. I haven't been on as much lately compared to the summer, because I am back at school. Ugh. I am just trying to get things together for the wedding.

Hey Ellen,
You're pcitures from Universal and Disney are great! I want to go so badly! Mar and i are planning on going. But just not sure when. thought about over his christmas holidays but it might be too hard not being home to do the family stuff.
I would totally freak too if Mark wasn't home when i expected him to be. He works till 9pm. But 10pm if i haven't heard from him i'm calling his cell. It's a 20 min drive door to door. I know he usually sticks arround a couple min to talk to his boss after all his lessons and says hey to his sister before leaving. But yeah.
I'm sending you baby dust! Hopefully you wont be TTC for too long! :grinhappy:

LOL my thoughts exactly. Must be that middle aged "never gone to have that again" mind.
Glad to hear your honeymoon was all that and then some.
BTW - I got notification of the return of the first platter. The buggers are charging me more to return it than it did to send it!

TY! I told Eric that come Christmastime they "boys" were going to get a little holiday flavor! I'm thinking santa hats and maybe an ornament or two....kinda like the little dog that pulled the sleigh in "How The Grinch Stole Christmas"...remember that poor tiny dog with the reindeer antlers tied on ?LMAO!

Almost forgot poor Sly! This is our cat...he meets me at the truck every afternoon meowing up a storm (he wants to be fed and rubbed) and he meets Eric at midnight and tries to sneek into the house....he's learned that Eric tries to shut the door really easy (so as not to wake me) and he takes the opportunity to dash in and jump into bed with me...first time he did it I almost had a stroke!
This is Sly peeking out from behind the Hosta's...I think he's camera shy LOL!

I know I'm jumping the gun and it's prolly not but I had to say something to someone...I'd look like and idiot if I said anything to the folks around here....
I'm going to feel like a real dork when AF comes in about 14 days but I had to get it off my chest...I never thought I would WANT to be nauseous but right now I SO want ALL the symptoms lol! We have been uhm, how do I say this...very dilligent about procreating in order to conceive so ya'll pray for me (in whatever fashion suits you) please...

It's been over 24 hours since my last dose of med's and right now I'm super nauseous! BLECH! I stood up to go to another office and saw some major stars...I tested my blood sugar and I'm at 96 which is normal for me and I actually ate breakfast after I got yucky this morning so I know it's not that!

:irked: The venue where we held our reception just called me to ask why they hadn't received payment yet..........hmmmmmmmmm maybe because my wedding was 7/29 I never received a bill until the week I was in Florida (that was SEPTEMBER...I took it out of the mailbox on (9/10) I mailed it to dad 9/12 (give 2-3 days for USPS to get it there and he paid it and mailed it to them 9/16....(give 2-3 days for USPS to get it back here).
So I call them back give them the breakdown and tell them to call me if they don't get it today or tomorrow.....
Now during this conversation the witch (yes I'm in a pissy mood today:irked: ) was rude and very condescending (which goes over with me about as good as a pregnant pole vaulter). I assured her that she would have her check and that if she wanted to be rude to someone I suggest she move to the next name on her list because today was not a good day to be anything but accommodating with me! (Yes I said that!)
Well she just called me back (with a whole diff. attitude) to inform me that the check was on the desk in the A/R office, I thanked her for calling me, added that I knew it would be (yes, I had to get my jab in) and then told her I was waiting...she was surprised (which I gathered by her shocked silence) and then she asked what I was waiting for...AHA! Now I get to rant!....I told her an apology for assuming that
1. I deliberately had not paid the bill
2. For not having the common sense to know that the change of address I gave them (2 days before the wedding) was so that they would have the correct address to get the bill to me (DUH!) in order to avoid a delay due to forwarding and
3. for billing me for a portion of my reception that did not occur (Audio Video Equipment was non-operational thus my video did not get played as planned) and for the rudeness of a certain venue employee who refused to bring my MIL a knife so that she could cut the grooms cake (they refused to cut it becasue it was an "outside food item") and for being rude about it alltogether.
Needless to say she apologized "for them" but I told her that I didn't want an apology from them via her but an apology from her personally for being rude about the whole thing, when I in fact had kept my thoughts to myself and paid the whole amount anyway (actually daddy did) just to avoid "bad blood" becasue I work for the TV station that does their promotions and commercials.
I got the apology...........then I quickly said "good day" and hung up.
The reception was beautiful and went well overall but the A/V issue and the groom's cake thing and the rudeness to my MIL over it and then to me was not acceptable for the price we had to pay for it to be PERFECT!

My hubby just called (our daily 12ish phone convo) and told me that he had two scoops of black mulch loaded on the four wheeler trailer and hooked to the 4 wheeler for me to mulch my mums and flower beds with.... awwwww geee thanks darling :snide: ! LOL....well at least he went and got it and paid for it lol!
He also told me that he took my horse out of the field with a rope halter on her and was taking her to the round pen (he's going to ride her this weekend and next week) in preperation for our weekend camping/riding trip on 9/29-10/1.
So with a rope halter on her (no bit in her mouth, and only one side of "reins") he decides to "see what she's going to do" (she hasn't been ridden since we got her due to her foaling in March) and jumped up on her bareback. Well.......LMAO....she tucked that head down and took off running and bucked his cute little hind end up off her back (he didn't get bucked off but he decided to come off once she hit the ground again) ROFL. Him and his dad put a halter on her and took her to the round pen and circled her a few times after that...His dad told her (yes he talks to the horses) that "If you hurt Ellen next weekend I'll ride your ornery hide the rest of the weekend and you won't like it" awwwwww! Coming from my FIL that's like him hugging me and telling me he loves me (which don't happen much...cuz he's a MANLY MAN) LOL!
Just had to share...I love my family!

Hey dont be too upset. People dont beleive me but you some times have one last period after you get pregnant. I know it sounds foolish but if you read up on early signs of pregnancy you will see it. It is when the embryo is implanting itself onto the walls of the uterus. Some woman have a period from this. Most times it is not a normal period. Less bleeding or not last as long.
Dont mean to get your hopes up but now hou know that in about 2 weeks your will be ovulating. Sorry. I am trying to get pregnant too so I have read up. I have 2 i know but I wanted them and within 2 months of trying was pregnant with them. This time not so easy.
Good luck hun.

Well since the last post...my DH thinks my boobs are bigger...I am swelled up like a basketball (I ate a poptart for breakfast and now I feel like I ate 5 course meal) I was watching a movie this weekend and started crying like a baby and I have some weird pains (don't really hurt) in my lower abdomen!
No sickness, no tenderness in the boobs...but I'm very emotional and have been CRAVING olives and lemonade..............
I started early on 9/30 and if I go 28 days won't start until 10/27 or 10/28....
THE ANTICIPATION IS DRIVING ME NUTS LOL!
If I'm not pregnant this month I have gone from 164 lbs to 171 in 3 weeks for no **** good reason! And I'm not eating that much!

Ellen it may be too early to detect and if you use it first thing in the morning it is supposed to be a better reading. Just some tips. I always bought the tests that had 2 in the pack. So I could do one later on if it was negative or if I just wanted to try it in the mroning becuase there is more of the hormone in your urine then. Good luck and keep us posted.

Sorry to hear the HPT was a BFN.
Maybe go to the Dr. to have a blood test done. There is this really neat microscope like thing that you can get. You put a little saliva on it and you can see how the cells are put together. they will look different ways when you are ovulating or not or pregnant or not. I'll ask my SiL what it is called. Maybe it will help you guys and save some money on the HPT.
I'm sending ya some Baby Dust hun!

It may be too early still. And those HPT's don't always work accuratly. I took about a dozen when I was prego with my daughter. they all said no.. Keep your hopes up, El.:ginger: It will happen soon enough.

Hey Ellen!!
Have you tried charting your Basal Body Temp to pinpoint when your ovulating?? This will also give you clues to if you are pregnant. Don't give up hope but remember it's early in the game and there is still lots of time!! If in six months, nothing, you can see your doctor and get them involved!! Good luck Sweet Pea!!
Love ya SOUL SISTA!!

Well we had an awesome weekend! Eric and I went to a horse/tack auction this weekend and I ended up with a new saddle, bridle and bit! Then we took our gift cards (from the wedding) to Target and bought a gorgeous 7ft Christmas Tree and some lights and then went to Wal-Mart and bought more Christmas decorations lol! Eric assembled the tree in the living room and I will start working on it (decorating) tonight....YES we know it's early but we are so excited about our first MARRIED TO EACHOTHER Christmas!
Here are some pics from this weekend....

Well Eric assembled the tree Sunday night and I have been working on decorating it and a few things around the house so here are the pics....
BTW.... Yes I know it's early (first time my tree has ever been up before Thanksgiving) but we are so excited about our first Christmas together as man and wife, and the fact that starting this weekend....our arses will be in a deer stand in the woods when we aren't working to put meat in the freezer and my buck on the wall....so we aren't going to have alot of time to get the decor done....Eric will be working on putting the lights up outside (while it's still warm enough to do it next week) and I won't turn anything on until after Thanksgiving....
Anywho....here is how my tree turned out..................
