I've seen this a while back, but I don't remember where. At the reception there was a note on each place card which basically told the guests where they could go to upload their photos (from their camera) of the wedding online so others can look and share as well.

Anyone know how to go about this?? I really like this idea but I'm at a lost of where to start. For starters, how do I word this?? What kind of paper should I put this on?? I've seen it on a business card before but I want to know if there are other ideas out there. Also, how should we word this?? And what's a good site for this type of thing?? Thanks for any advice!! Thanks laides!!

I know exactly what you are talking about. My friend has a really good one. I did too. I am searching for you.

While I search, I use Shutterfly for regular pictures.

It has no picture limit, and is really easy to use. You can make the background customed to you. Unless you really want a wedding site, this can be attached to your own site. I would highly recommend this one.

I typed up all of our information on those business cards and they were set onto peoples plates.

I used photobucket and just created a easy username and password... something like

Here is the link to my wedding journal, it should bring you to the page that has a picture of what our cards looked like. Hope it helps!

I did it too! I ordered business cards from VistaPrint and on them was a little request asking guests to log in and share their photos. I built a photobucket account like Brenda did and a bunch of our guests uploaded their photos.

I'm actually going to do this too. I'm using shutterfly.com to do mine. And I'm putting a link to the shutterfly page in my regular wedding website. I'm just going to print out instructions on regular ivory paper (the same paper we used to make our invitations) and place them at each seat...for those who hadn't checked out our website yet, which I'm guessing a lot haven't.

I thought about doing the photobucket thing. But I just liked shutterfly better. I already use shutterfly to print off my digital pics anyways. So anything that anyone uploads would be easy for me to have printed. Plus I like that everyone has to create their own username and password to upload to my page. Not that anyone would tamper with it, but I just feel better knowing that no one can delete a picture of themselves that they don't like that someone else might have posted. Also, the shutterfly page is similar to the wedding website, in that you can post information, instructions, a welcome greeting, or whatever you want on there, and you can choose your own backgrounds and everything!

Here's ours. http://theproperwedding.shutterfly.com/ if you are interested in viewing, I'll PM you the password. I don't want to post it out in the open, but I'll gladly share it. :)

Oh I'd love to have the password please.

I've been using Shutterfly as a private forum for the wedding party so I can share with them the wedding planning in private. I really like it and find it very easy to use however I've heard from a few people in the wedding (who aren't good with computers) that it's too hard for them to navigate.

I love this idea and wish I would have thought to do it for our wedding. We ended up not getting much in pictures from our reception, and I think we would have if we would have done this.

I like shutterfly as well.

Yeah, I too think this is a great way to get more photos of the wedding. It's so great to get so many photos from a different point of view. Plus, this allows you to get some photos BEFORE you get your professional ones. Hehee!! I'm so excited to see these photos our guests take!!

I went the free route so I just used one of their free templates. You can pay a little more for different background options though :D

Here's what mine looked like:

We had a monogram on the front, but I don't think that I have any pictures of it.

I didn't even think of doing anything like this, but surprisingly most of our pictures came from our older family members who don't use internet. They had digital cameras and just took them to Walgreen's or wherever and had everything put on a couple of disks and sent them to us. We were the ones that posted them online for everyone.
