Hey everyone, so i have about a month to go before the big day and I'm still fiddling around with my centerpieces.
Here is one of them so far (please ignore the uneven ribbon, i haven't glued it on properly):

***Really sorry for the massive pictures:confused:, I'll have to come back and edit them.

I have decided to place the wine glass on a square mirror and scatter amber crystals around it. I also thought about putting pale yellow crystals inside the glass and changing the candle. I used an oval candle that i spray painted gold, but I'm thinking about going with a simple ivory candle because the one i used is too low, you can barely see the flame. Then again, there will be children at my reception, so I'm also worried about it being a fire hazard.. Decisions, Decisions:unsure:.."sigh".

Here was my inspiration:

So what do you all think, any ideas, criticism, general feedback?:rassberry:
I'm afraid of going over the top and want to keep it simple and clean, but i just feel like it looks so bare by it self.:notsure:
Will fiddle around with it again tomorrow:frantic:

OOps i forgot to add my wedding colors. F.H. is a major N.O. Saints Fan, so i went with gold, white, a gold beige and black. Unfortunately the banquet hall i booked has lots of gold ornaments, chandeliers and maroon curtains and carpet, so i had to tone down on the black and beige.
Here are a few picks to give you an idea of what I'm describing:

Those are really pretty! I totally like your idea of using the mirror and the amber crystals. I think it'll look awesome. I don't think you have to have any added concern about fire with them. ;)

Wow, those are really beautiful!!! And very unique. I agree with Gwen about not needing to worry about the fire hazard too. Usually you only have to worry about that if you're using tapered (the really long) candles.

Very nice. I don't know that I would add anything more to it. Sometimes simple is better.
