I voted history because I was really talking about basic classes. I really like history, especially Texas history. 7th grade is when we did Texas history and it was cool.
My favorite elective in school was Ag Science.

I voted 'other', I think Art and Marketing were my fav classes. If I have to choose a 'basic' class, I guess I'd say English. My least fav subject was math!

Music was always my favorite. Science was the least favorite.

I wasn't allowed to have a "favorite" subject, I had to bring home a 3.5 or higher every grade period or else. In high school if I didn't bring home at least a 3.8 I was disgusted with myself.
I always liked history/social studies because it was super easy for me. I never had a hard time understanding it, putting the pieces together, or wondered why I needed to know that. I just always appreciated the subjects. The sciences were good because I also enjoyed those, especially biology and chemistry. I could take apart and understand anything in those especailly if it dealt with microbiology. Literature was fun because it required the least amount of work. Just show up, read, remember. Math took the most of my time. But becaue I liked science so much I really worked hard at the math to help my science courses. I guess the only class that I tolerated was home ec. It was required my freshman year. I saw no point in it.

English/literature and chemistry were my favorites. I had good teachers and they made it fun.

Accounting. I loved working with the numbers and case studies. It was a interesting subject. After High school i worked as an accountant in my Uncle's Garage. I was also receptionist and parts person as well as accountant! I was busy! :) My second fave was art~!

Art, Applied Arts (Photography & Graphics) and English. I am with almost everyone else ... I couldn't handle math at all.
I have a theory - comment if you want. Those who are artistic/creative find math, science (and puzzles) a challenge and those that aren't artistic/creative normally breeze through these subjects. Right brain / left brain thing?

My favorite was reading, then math. I also liked history, in junior and senior years. I really enjoyed (and still do) reading books of any type. Math is second because after freshman year, it suddenly got a lot easier for me.

Music was of course my favorite subject.... but since thats not really an option and was considered an elective, my favorite subject was Math... I've always been really good at it and figuring out things. I hated English because I hate to read, I'm thankfully really good at writing papers though so thats what saved me.

I'm really artistic and creative and I loved math and have always been really good at it... Eventhough I hate it, I'm also good at english... I guess its wierd because all of my musician friends hate math and were really bad at music theory, I excel at math and did really well in music theory... I guess there exceptions to that rule?

I would have a hard time picking between math and chemistry, but I'm voting for math. (I deplore some of the other sciences, like biology and anatomy. It just grosses me out. Microbiology, especially.) Math and chemistry were always two subjects that just made sense and came easily to me.

That might be a good generalization. However I was a science major and thought seriously about picking up a minor in art...ended up minoring in English instead. I know that wasn't a popular combination, but there were others like me. :)

Like JennF, that stereotype doesn't really apply to me either. I have always done just as well in language and arts as I have in math and science.

There was alot about science and biology and similar subjects that interested me (and still do) but I wasn't very good at them.
I have heard alot about the right brain/left brain thing, though it may not be true for everyone. I would say it is maybe half true for me ;)

I guess that I am the odd man out here. I absolutly LOVED math. Any subject, but algebra was my favorite. I also really liked chemistry. I was actually going to school to become a high school math teacher, but decided I would like to try accounting instead.
