I read in a wedding mag recently about a couple who rented a photo booth for their guests to take pictures in. Has anyone else heard of something like this? I think it would be a really fun idea for the reception.

There are a few ideas like this floating around over here at wedding fairs etc - one is like u said a photo booth, guests have their pic taken and u put them all in album with a msg off said guest. Another is a video booth (supervised) guests make short video msgs to the bride and groom and its all saved on one video for them to keep. Nice ideas if you can afford them lol xxx

I think I read about that in a magazine. I've never seen or heard of it being done by anyone I know. It's a cute idea.

That would be pretty expensive though! If I had the money to spend, I would definitely do it.

You know, for everyone thinking that it might be a little outside the budget...you could set up someone with a digital or Polaroid camera and do something similar...and just put everything in an album at the end. You could even have them sign the album in advance. It'd be a good job for an amateur photographer friend or family member.

Yea, I thought it sounded pretty expensive, but I think it would be something really neat to have.
We are thinking about doing something like with the polaroid camera, though.

It's a cute idea, I had never heard of a photo booth before.
At our wedding one of our GMs walked around with a video camera and asked everyone to send a wish to the bride and groom. Also, our photog ended up getting a picture of everyone there. I don't know how he managed and still got all the pics of the dances, cake, etc. but he did.

It does sound like a cute idea but expensive. At my first wedding we had a couple of freinds of mine take charge of the guest book. We had borrowed a couple of polaroid cameras. Every guest as they came in got a pictures taken of them. I wanted the pictures in the book and then they sign what they want next too it but it didint happen that way but I still have all the photos in the guest book.

That sounds like a great idea! So much fun!
I remember getting photos with my friends in the photo booths when i was young. What a great thing for your guests to partake in. Then they will have lots of memories of your wedding to take home!

Funny, I see this post here and then just a day later I see a vendor advertising it on one of the boards I frequent. It was advertised for the Toronto area so I didn't look any further but I think it's a really neat idea!
I would totally go for it if it wasn't too too expensive and it was available in my area.
