Guest Book or Signature Picture Frame?

I like the idea of both ... the guest book will help you keep track of who was there for thank yous and such, but you put it away and usually don't ever look at it again. The sig mat will be a nice keepsake to hang on the wall and enjoy long after the wedding.

We did a photo mat. I think in the long run I will appreciate it more than a book I shove into the bottom of a box and never look at.

I am just doing the guest book. For some reason I don't like the look of a guest picture frame to sign. IMO.

We are just doing a guest book. It will be left out on display with our other wedding stuff, like cake topper and such. We ordered a signiture platter for Elizabeth and love the proof! Of course we love it so much that we don't want to have people sign it. We want to leave it just the way it is!

I personally don't like either since I think both are a waste of money. But my grandmother bought my guest book so I used it and now it's in my wedding cabinet on display with all the rest of my wedding stuff! :D

We're doing a guest book, but I insisted that it have a place for people to write messages or advice. In fact, we ended up buying an Anniversary book that Mom is going to cover with fabric and decorate it to match the wedding.

We did the frame mat and I will post a pic when I get one. It came out great despite some people writing messages when we asked for "names only"- oh well!! We're going to put an 8x10 wedding pic in it and right now it's over the sofa but I may move it. The frame does match our decor though and I even got another frame that's an exact match to it for one more bigger wedding pic for display nearby. It's a nice keepsake.

Where were you planning to put your main wedding pic? Thats where we put ours. And it pretty well fits in with ever thing else.

We didn't do either. It was not important to us and we didn't feel it was something we would read over and over. One of our GMs did decide to take a video camera and make a video guestbook for us though.

We did both, one for the return addresses (to ease the THANK YOU note pains) and one to hang on the wall in the living room (thanks to DH it's already hung up!)

I voted Guest Book because we'll be planning on too many people. If it was a small wedding then we'd do a picture frame.

What we did was we got a really nice scrap book, we matted all of our engagement pictures and centered them on the first 8 pictures of the scrapbook, so that people can sign around them. Then we are going to finish off the book with all of our wedding photo's so it will transition from our engagement album/ guestbook to our wedding album. Oh and on the first page of the scrap book we put an invitaion, and our news paper announcement and stuff. We love it.

We only did a guest book and my SiL and MiL got us an advice book. For everyone to give us advice in.
I would have really liked to have done the picture frame guest book. But i never really got a chance too.

for me im doing a book- just makes it easier to save- like you dont have to worry bout breaking the glass or anything-

I voted "other". We are doing a metal matte for signatures. Then we are doing quilt blocks for people to put thoughts and advice on.

we are kind of doing a scrap book deal. we bought a beautiful big scrapbook and then we bought paper... we took the number of guests coming 100 and divided it by 4... at michaels they have a huge paper assortment in the 12x12's... so my mom picked out 25 individual papers from colors that she liked to textures, whatever. we cut each paper into four peices. we are going to have the scrap book sitting on the table with a bunch of pens and these papers. people can pick whatever color texture they want and take it with them or just sign it there. then we will collect them all at the end and incorperate them into the scrap book. its going to be fun to see the different personalities pick the different papers. it will give us personalized quotes, thoughts, signatures, and what have yous throught all our wedding photos while adding colors and textures.
