I originally wanted an outdoor garden wedding. But then I realized, I can control every aspect of the day with military efficiency except one thing, the weather. I have no control over the weather. With everything else I had on my plate planning this wedding, the lat thing I needed was the anxiety of the one thing I could not control. So we went with an indoor wedding. Good thing too, it was miserably hot and humid that day.

Indoor wedding and reception. Wedding in the morning is in a Hindu Temple. No air conditioning, so we're going to sweat to death for an hour and a half!!

Reception, also indoors, though we have access to go outside to the garden. Being an August wedding, indoors I thought was a better option as that way we won't all be suffering under the hot sun.

We did indoors. As much as I would have loved to do an outside wedding, the weather during the summer was just too unpredictable for me.

We're going with an indoor wedding... although its GORGEOUS around that time of year, its a little too chilly to be outside.. we'll definitely take pics outside though!

As a photographer I hated outdoor weddings. Yes the gardens and such are pretty, but there are so many uncontrollable variables that ppl don't always think about. If the weather is bad, you have to postpone or move inside anyway so why not just do it inside to begin with ... But that is just me ;)

With pictures, it often takes longer to light and setup shots outside than it does inside ... and in my experience, there is almost always someone that is late. Plus you always have the weather issue ... even if it is sunny, it is not the best for pictures.

I always like a nice indoor place with nice shade, like gazebos and covered areas for pictures. That way you get the best of indoors and out ;)

WE wanted outdoor but the weather had a different idea! lol. We ended up with kind of a indoor outdoor kinda wedding. We got married in the hangar on the farm with the hangar door wide open so we could hear the birds singing. :)

The hangar is behind the limo...lol.

Mine will be indoors. You never know how the weather will be in December. It can freezing cold and raining, there can be ice, and once every couple of years it may snow a little. Or on the other hand it can be beautiful and 75 degrees outside. The thing is, you never know. Even if I would have planned a spring wedding it would be indoors because you cannot predict the weather. The last thing I would have wanted to do is have my plans shot because of the weather.

Well, Amber was going to have her wedding on the Rooftop at the Red Mountain Ranch Country Club, but we decided against it. The reason we decided against it is because Amber's wedding is on 9/9/06. The average high for that time of year here in Phoenix is 99 degrees, and the average low is 72 degrees. We didn't want to take the chance that everyone was going to be too hot on the rooftop, so we moved it into the Red Mountain Room which has air conditioning. So we're happy with our decision. :D

the roof top sounded so cool though but I can completely understand that you wouldnt want anyone to die from heat stroke or anything! ;) And can you imagine wearing a bridal gown in that kind of heat!! I know its going to be beautiful regardless though!!!

Yeah, with all those layers on Amber, she might be the one to have a heat stroke! :bbcry: So, I'm glad we don't even have to worry about it anymore. :)

That was defiantely a good decision to move it inside. I got hot in my dress inside the store in January when I tried it on. I will probably end up hot in December in that heavy, hot thing.

You know, Kacie, I have heard that over and over that brides were sweating in their dresses no matter what the temperature was. I just think all those layers traps your own body heat in there and you should just be ready to drink lots of ice cold water that day. :D

It was only about 80 out on my wedding day and my dress wasn't all that heavy. But I was still ready to have a heat stroke before I got done with the ceremony. You have the drss, all the layers under it, make up, plus you haven't had a chance to just sit and relax all afternoon.

We had it indoors, b/c the weather is something you just cannot control. I also like the lighting better indoors.

I ended up with a terriable chill I believe in part to my dress and the fact that I was sweating and then they had the a/c running and i was already sick so it got worse! :(

We will be having it indoors for the same reason as the rest of you. August in Utah is usually pretty hot. We have been on a hot streak of aboue 100 for quite a while, so I am glad I decided to be indoors.
