My plans were to sit in the hospital and do nothing but now we are thinking we are going to get a pass to get out of the hospital on the 4th and go hang out and DH's sisters house. YAY!!!!!! I can't wait!!! Then when we are done, we will come back here and watch fireworks over the capital building and we have a perfect view. So hopefully this 4th won’t suck as bad as I thought it would!

We're going to DH's family's lake place for the first time this summer. Unfortunately, they're doing the fireworks on Friday night, which I think is dumb, lol... So we'll have to go somewhere else rather than watching them from the boat like we did last year. I'm glad we were able to arrange our work schedules so we could go, though (actually there was no arranging on his part, but I had to request the days off).

We're going to a friends house for a cook-out on the actual 4th. (So very exciting having jobs that allow us to have a real life and friends!!!)

Saturday the 3rd though we are going to a festival thing held downtown. I think Friday the 2nd we are going to go over the honeymoon island state park. So a full weekend! Then we have Monday off (verses Friday).

DH is scheduled to work on Monday, though he may be asking for the day off (he won't get paid, though). I'm planning a lot of down time!

I'm thinking that we might actually follow through with the plan that we make every year to visit this nearby lake that puts on a really good fireworks show. It seems like every year the weather is crappy or we end up doing something else.

I have to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday! And the 4th is my favorite holiday of the year! And I work either 2nd or 3rd shift all 4 nights! But its all good, my time will come. :)

I hope everyone has a safe holiday! I work at a hospital so I HOPE we aren't busy with emergencies! Stay safe people!

There's this horse racing track near me that puts on a fireworks show every year. We tried to go last year and didn't buy tickets in advance, and we got halfway from the car to the door and people started coming out and telling us they didn't have any more door tickets and to turn back around. So this morning I bought the tickets online :)
