My fiance and I were talking the other day and we had a thought that we thought we would share with you and see if anyone has heard of any places like it.
If there was a venue out there that had a reception site on the same property and offered all the services; limo, flowers, dj, cake, planner, invitations, etc, maybe not the photographer or videographer, would you use them if it was significantly cheaper by a few thousand dollars or more over the cost of finding all those different people and scheduling it yourself?
We like the idea and are seeing if there are any places out there like it, has anyone heard of any?
thanks!

There are places like that. The venue we're getting married that is like that, a one stop shop. It's great for couples who don't want to be too involved in the planning. From what I hear it's very simple and literally only has 2-3 meetings to plan the whole event!! Again, very good for couples who aren't super involved, who are busy, and definitely not picky a.k.a. bridezilla.
Our venue also allows couples to pick and choose what they want in or our of their packages. That's what we did. We actually took out A LOT of things (like 90% of it OUT!!). Their vendors are good basic vendors, but that's not what we were looking for. We wanted something a bit more chic and extravagant so we went out for some of our own vendors such as photography, videography, ethnic foods, flowers, stationary, officiant, linen, and favors just to name a few.
So yeah, places like that DO exists. They work for some, maybe not for others. If you're lucky you'll be able to find a place who offers the packages, but also allows you to take things out (or into) your package (like what our venue allows). Best of luck!!

Yea, those places exist. Around my area they're called "Party Houses." I've never been to one for a wedding, though I have for other things (my senior ball, a graduation party). It's nice to have everything done in one place - it leaves less possibility for error the day of the wedding (vendors forgetting to bring things or being late).

As other mentioned, there are these "all inclusive" facilities out there. Sometimes they work out well, sometimes not so much.

The chapel that I'm getting married in offers anything you want, however it also would be costing about 2x's what I'm looking at paying, so we are just going with ceremony only! lol But then I have a very small budget and have had to get creative. But yes... places like that definitely do exist.
