I know not everyone follows the journals but I figured if I post the story hear maybe people will see it..haha. Plus it's not really "wedding planning" it's the official engagement story!!!! SO here it is ladies - sorry it's so long, but it's all about our weekend. Also I will try and post pics of the ring as soon as I can get a good photo of it!!!
Well this weekend is finally over and I know you are all waiting for the story!!! I'm just going to write about what happened all weekend which includes the proposal..
Friday Billy was brought home by his grandparents and mother. I tried sleeping after working all night thurs. but that didn't work out so well. I kinda got grumpy b/c I hadn't heard from him all day and everyone else had seen him already - so I was sorta irritated by that. His parents had told me that they were going to be bringing him home to my house at 5pm that night, yea he wasn't there. So i was sorta on edge. Billy called me and I was like What?!?! HAHA I didn't mean to be so rude BUT I was really mad that I hadn't even talked to him yet so I thought I was justified. Anywho I went over to his house and got to see him, then he told me he had to go shopping so I wasn't even going to get to see him very long. Which was frustrating again. Then Billy's brother showed up w/his gf whom apparently his mother doesn't like too much b/c she's very disrespectful. Things were going ok til' the gf opened her mouth and said something along the lines of "you're a horrible mother" which ensued a huge yelling match. Finally Billy's brother and gf left. I feel bad that it happened but I'm glad his mom stuck up for herself for once. Then Billy and his stepfather went "shopping". I decided I would go over to my gramma's and make the salt potatoes and brownies for the party and also to get all the last minute details on house sitting. Around 11ish I got a call from Billy's mom apologizing for the fight. I asked if she would mind if i came back over to see Billy when they got home and she said it was fine. So midnight comes and I'm over there. Billy was so excited about the ring he bought me that he brought it out and let me look at it...but then he took it back!!! HAHA I was like what?!?!! Anywho - we cuddled and slept til' about 130 when I got back up and left for gramma's b/c they were leaving for vacation at 430 am. After that I came back and slept the rest of the morning with Billy. It was so nice to be able to just cuddle and enjoy each other.
After that we went over to my mothers and got ready for the engagement party. Billy kept wandering around and you could tell he was getting nervous, then my dad got there and he really started pacing haha. My dad and him finally talked and he came out and goes I need a cigarette haha. But I guess dad had a good talk with him and then while we were all eating Billy gave me that ring and sorta whispered the magic words (he was so stinkin cute b/c he was shaking so bad!!!) Then everyone was like wait did he just ask??!?! And of course everyone made a big deal and we took a ton of pictures. SO after that we went to see his grandma then went to my grandma's to watch the house (i'm house sitting while they are on vacation which gave us the house to be alone so that was nice). Anywho we're pulling up to my grandparents house and the dogs are out running around...uhoh...So I'm chasing after the dogs and notice some of my grandma's chickens dead in the lawn!!!! OMG...it looked terrible. So our romantic evening kinda went funny too, but oh well. We picked up the chickens then went swimming, made dinner together and watched movies. We had a really good night and then went to church Sunday and everyone was all excited about the ring and meeting Billy finally. Had to drop Billy off at bus station in the afternoon and that SUCKED!!! But good news is he may be coming home for good next month, MAYBE - i'm not getting too excited til' I know for sure. But WE'RE OFFICIALLY ENGAGED!!!! YAYYYYY!!!!! I can't stop staring at the ring, doesn't make it any easier b/c I'm kinda lonely at my gramma's all alone in a big empty house, but I am really excited that we're finally engaged. I can't believe it!!!
