After the rehearsal at the country club we will come back to our house and host our rehearsal dinner. My mom and I will be making some lasagna, salad, fresh baked bread, and strawberry cheesecake for dessert. The wine will be flowing and it will be a special night.

Yes we are having a rehearsal dinner. It will be a seafood buffet at the Hilltop Herb Farm Restaurant. We have our own private room reserved. Here is the menu:
The buffet features fresh boiled and pickled shrimp, seafood gumbo, salads, crawfish Etouffee, Alaskan crab legs (in season only*), lemon-battered catfish and shrimp, stuffed crabs, blackened mahi-mahi in lemon-butter sauce, Jambalaya, and red beans and rice. Tranquilitea*, flavored coffees and bread pudding in bourbon sauce are included.

We didn't have a rehearsal so there was no rehearsal dinner ... but as some of you may know, we didn't have a formal event and didn't really have a traditional ceremony since it was in our house.
We did have a 'wedding dinner' ;) We met some close family and friends at a local restaurant after the ceremony.

We're having one... the details are undecided at this point, however, we do know that Jonathan's parents are paying for/hosting the dinner.

We're not having an actual rehearsal, as the Indian culture does not do that. However, the night before the wedding we're having a cocktail party and dinner to celebrate that I'm getting covered in henna (traditional for indian brides) and the party is a traditional part of that. For my family, they'll also be learning at that time their responsibilities during the ceremony.

We are not having a rehersal, and ive not known of anyone having a rehersal dinner over here, they just go practice and thats it. We are though all getting together for a meal the night before the ceremony, they will all be in the same hotel anyways but will have been going off and doing ourtheir own things most of the time (i hope) but we thought it would be nice if we all had a meal together (prob all have enough of each other by the next night lol). xxx

We are having a rehearsal dinner, however, it's going to be at our expense. We're doing pizza, salad and cake at a local place that has awesome woodfired pizza.

Ooh, that sounds like the coolest most memorable thing ever! Please post a picture of your henna when you get back!! :D
We had a rehearsal dinner after our church rehearsal. It was a lot of fun- we did everything pretty off the cuff but it turned out to flow really well. Everyone (about 70 people!) went around and introduced themselves so that we would know a few names and faces throughout the weekend, since the two families hadn't all met, then we had dinner and a fun presentation of gifts. Also it was my MOH's birthday and we had treats brought out and sang to her. I actually liked it better than the reception!!

We planned on having a rehersal dinner. But because of when we had to have the rehersal we ended up having a rehersal dessert, snackies and drinks. The rehersal was set to begin at 7pm at the church. Then by the time it was done and we got to my MiL's house it was 830 so dinner was going to be too late. My MiL bought a cake, and made spinach dip and had veggie and fruit trays and some chips. It was GREAT! totally relaxing.

We met with Derek (our minister) tonight. Oh sure, we talked about computers, his vacation, high school reunions, the ceremony, the food, how to set up the decorations, clean up, the music, communion, and seating but we forgot to talk about a rehersal! LOL
Still ...... my children won't be arriving into town until the afternoon of our wedding day and neither will our minister friends who are reading so ..... I guess we won't be having a rehersal or a rehersal dinner LOL

We are doing our rehearsal somewhat backwards, but yes we are having one.
Our wedding will be held at a location almost 2 hours away from home, so instead of going there and driving back we're having a backyard BBQ in FIL's backyard in the early afternoon then caravaning to the venue for the rehearsal.
This way we can also invite our out of town relatives and still somewhat control the cost. Once the rehearsal part is over we'll all be staying at the venue for the night anyway so let the party continue!
