to send out wedding invitations? I know on all the websites we looked at it says 8 weeks before the wedding. We are getting married August 28th but we didn't send out save the dates. I would like to get everyone their invitations so they can start booking their hotel rooms and get the date put on their calendars.

I'd say go for it. After all you are only about 2.5 months ahead at the moment!! :)

I think that's fine Casey. :) It's not like you're doing it six months ahead of time or something. The more notice the better. I didn't do save the dates either and I sent our wedding invites out a little earlier than normal.

Yeah, if you didn't do save the dates, it is probably a good idea to send 'em sooner.

We sent ours about 10 weeks out or so. I think you'd be fine :)

Whew!! My mom made it seem like it was so early and that everyone I sent the invitations to would forget about the wedding before it came. lol!

I probably won't send them for a week or two anyways since I have to print every single invite off separately. Ugh! It will probably take 4 weeks just to do that.

actually the print off ones i did only took 2 hours tops to do. i suggest only printing 10 at a time so that way you can catch anything right away!! good luck!!

Never too early. In the UK we don't do save the dates. So we send Invitations as soon as the date is booked. In our case it was six months before hand and EVERYONE we invited turned up. No one forgot it.

I'm waiting on my invite to jump on a plane and gatecrash. ;)

The only reason I would be concerned would be if your wedding was at the beginning of a new year and you sent them too early for people to put the date on their calendars. But that's not the case, so I say go for it! ;) Besides it's not like you'd be sending them THAT much too early anyways.

Go for it if you're ready now ;)

:laugh2: I sent your invite out already Mitch! Didn't you get it??

We are going to try to finish them up tomorrow and have them sent out by Wednesday.

I think sending invites 8 weeks prior is sufficient.if you want to further ensure that every body gets the invite and schedule then you can send mailers also just to confirm 1 week before your wedding.
