im doing my own invites and getting all the paper and stuff from cards and pockets. we are trying to cut back on stuff for the wedding because we have recently had many financial downfalls.

i was wondering, since im not having a full meal reception, just a cake and punch with fruit trays ( and maybe other mini desserts) do i really need an RSVP? i know that no matter what we should have a plenty of food, because we are getting a large cake and are just serving desserts, not really a meal, so its not like we need a count for a caterer or anything.

what do you guys think? i figured it will save on having to buy the cards, envelopes, stamps, and the ink to print them.

Do you have a wedding website? perhaps you can do an online rsvp? or print on the invite rsvp: your email and your phone number?

it seems like it wouldn't be the end of the world if they didn't rsvp but it may end up saving you $ if it ends up being less than you're expecting b/c then you can purchase less food and a smaller cake...
