... how the phrase "cut the cheese" came to be a slang for passing gas. I just don't get the correlation :bbconfused:

Serious answer? Here ya go:
A: The phrase 'cut the cheese' is from 1965-70, and comes from the fact that certain cheeses have a strong odor when cut. ChaCha!

I remember once in girl scouts (back when my mom was still forcing me to go) that someone made a mistake and told someone else to cut the cheese... everyone dissolved in giggles at that point! :P
