I shopped for a month for my shoes before I finally went back to the store (Etho's Bridal at WEM in Edmonton) where I bought my dress and found the perfect pair. They weren't too high, closed toed and exactly what I wanted. I felt like Cinderella in them!! :)

Shawna! I just had those shoes on last week and loved, loved, loved them! I'm still shoe shopping, but have those in the back of my mind.
As for having difficulty on the shoe hunt - I'm having a problem finding something not too high, but cute.

I had a hard time finding shoes, not becaue ofstyle or heel height, but because I refused to wear traditional bridal shoes. I was no wearing white shoes. I did finally fall head over heels in love with a pair that I saw at a bridal salon but, I had them dyed bright pink and black so they woul dbe a little more fashionable. To me, I can stand uncomfortable clothing and shoes to torturous degrees for the sake of fashion.

Shoes were not that big of a deal to me because they will be hidden most of the night. Comfort was my biggest issue. Now I'm not saying that I wanted something ugly. I had a fairly easy time finding shoes. Mine are simple. They are heels, but not that high. They have a strap around the ankle for support and are closed toe. I wanted closed toe since my wedding is in December. I think they are elegant. I paid about $40 for them.

Amber wanted something with rhinestones on them, and that was exactly what she got. She also didn't want anything too high. Also, we didn't care about comfort, because we were planning on taking them off for the reception and putting on flip flops. lol :D

I'm actually thinking about wearing white sneakers. My feet are kind of wide and the last thing I want is to be uncomfortable at my own wedding.

You mean I have to wear shoes!?!?! I haven't even starting looking for them yet. I am just going to get something simple, as no one will see my feet and I won't be wearing them long anyway. About an hour or so into the reception I am changing my clothes.

Well you don't HAVE to wear shoes lol. My aunt got married last summer and she didn't wear shoes. It was her second marriage though and it was all really informal. I actually thought about not wearing shoes. I know they're probably going to come off at the reception lol.

I searched high and low for shoes to match my dress. It was ivory but possibly darker. I couldn't find anything I liked at all. I ended up coming home and dragging out a pair of my daughters shoes and believe it or not they were the perfect color and fit me as well. I loved them. They worked better than anything I had tried on and were already at home.

I bought a pair of fancy white flip flops back in Feb. I needed somthing to have at my dress fitting. I found they were tooo hard on my feet. The day before the wedding i was out shopping with my BM's and found $10 white strapped flip flops at Payless. They were perfect. I still wear them now.
My other ones are going to go up for sale on e-bay one of these days.
Find the right shoe is hard. Good luck!

I decided that I have to have a heel. I need something to close the height gap between Clayton & I (1foot, 3 inches) Like Lacey I didnt want regular white wedding shoes, so I have a pair of black ones that I got at Payless for $25.

I ended up going with strappy sandals. I'm not sure that they're the closest match to my dress style wise...but the fact that they're so comfortable sold me. Plus, I'll wear them again during the summer.

My mission for the day will be comfort!!! All of my bridal party is way taller then I am, so if i want to be the same height i'm gonna have to go steleto's. But i don't want to be pre occupied by poot pain all day. I think slip on's with cushioning is gonnna be the way I'll go.
