If you know about a sale going on at a store, your selling your left-over wedding accessories, or you have a wedding product that you want to let brides know about you can post it in this forum.

You only need to post one announcement!

If you are posting an announcement about another forum, wedding planning site, free trips, TV shows, or other unacceptable topics it will be deleted.

It’s a good idea to also give back to the community by answering brides questions they may have in another thread or joining another thread and take part of the community so people can get to know you better.

If you are looking for more then just a post in this forum, think about buying some advertising on Onewed.com by contacting us as our rates are very reasonable, and support this very community via contest, prizes, and payout for posting!

FYI - Abuse and/or over use of this forum may result in removal of posts and/or removal from the community.

The best thing to do it to only post here once in a while and to give back to the community and let people get to know you and what you do.

Otherwise you can sign up for advertising on the main site (www.OneWed.com), there are many affordable options available.

EDIT: Casting ads (promotion of any sort of wedding related show, looking for couples, win a free wedding, etc) of any kind are not allowed and will be delted.

And posts soliciting our brides for stories and articles is a no-no as well.

New rule: Posts soliciting votes by anyone other than established members will be seen as spam. Posts will be removed and the member will be banned. No excuses.

We are here to share and make friends; we are not here to help you win a contest. If you want votes for something you are involved in, try being a part of the community and make some friends here first.

ETA - Furthermore; if you are an established member and do post such a thing, it belongs here in the Announcements and Opportunities (http://forums.onewed.com/forumdisplay.php?f=9) forum.

Edit2: This rule also applies to posts asking for donations of any kind and for any reason; if you can't be a part of the community like everyone else then you are a spammer.

Topics about wedding items for sale belongs in the Sell & Trade sub-forum (http://forums.onewed.com/forumdisplay.php?f=48) of this forum category.

However, said sub-forum is for our active and contributing members to post about wedding and miscellaneous items for sell or trade.

Any threads started by any new member with less than 10 other posts contributing to the community will be deleted without notice; no excuses. Abuse of our forums may result in removal from the community.

Ignorance of the rule is no excuse; posting anywhere else trying to get around the rule will be seen as spam.

Since we have had so much trouble with various types of spam lately, we have set a new rule that new members cannot post in the Announcements and Opportunities forum or any of it's sub-forums at all.

Once new members have posted in other areas a while and become a "Trusted member" showing that they want to be a part of the community, they will gain access to post in this forum.

So if any new member is found posting inappropriate topics elsewhere on the board they will be seen as a spammer trying to get around this rule. The posts in question will be removed and the user will be subject to removal from the community.

We seem to get a good bit of people that will join the community just to complain about a particular vendor they had a bad dealing with. It is sad when this sort of thing happens, and we sympathize with brides and their families. And of course it is good to share experiences and all, but we are not here to bash on vendors. Whether these vendors are advertisers of ours or not, that is not how we want our board portrayed.

So from now on the rule will be that only established trusted members will be permitted to share vendor reviews; good or bad. Such posts will still need only be posted here in the Announcements and Opportunities forum (http://forums.onewed.com/forumdisplay.php?f=9).

New members are restricted from posting in this forum anyway, so new members caught posting such things elsewhere will be seen as a spammer trying to get around our rules. Offending posts will be removed and the member will be subject to removal from the community.

Edit: You can search for vendors and leave a short review on www.OneWed.com (http://www.onewed.com)- Both positive and negative reviews are accepted! Tell future brides who the great vendors were and tell them if you had problems, this is how you can help make a difference.

Just in case anyone wasn't clear; these rules apply to the entire board. Just because you can't post certain things in one forum, doesn't mean you can get around the rule by posting in some other forum!
