Our New House!

Mark and i are moving tommorrow to Newmarket. Much closer to work and family and friends. YAY! No longer will we feel so left out from stuff cause we won't have to drive almost an hour each way!
I told some of ya's i would post pictures as soon as i had some. So here they are. It's pretty baren looking. But by the end of Sunday it will be a complete disaster. But our disaster! :D

Thanks for all your comments. I know the post has moved on and such. But i just wanted to say thanks. I love it. It's a total disaster. Hopefully this weekend Mark and i can get everything un-packed and looking good.

I don't know if i will have to be driving into Toronto for work. Maybe. It sucks. But you gotta do what ya gotta do right?! lol.
I Love the floors as well. But i think i want a carpet for the living room. I miss squishing my toes into it already. Yup... i'm a weirdo. lol!
On Tuesday we got a window AC. It was 91'F in our bedroom when we put it in. It was DISCUSTING! Now it's much nicer at arround 72'F we just need to get it moving into the living room and office more now.

I love it Jenn, aren't old houses awesome? I think it is very pretty, and I like the stairs and the sink too! Radiators can be prettied up in the summer by placing an edged glass top on them and showcasing plants (windows are perfect sunning spots)! CONGRATS GIRL!

Last night my mom and i went to Ikea and bought some new stuff. Tommorrow when i finish putting things together i will take some pictures. And as soon as the frigin intnet, cable, and phone guy comes i will post them online. I'm VERY bored at home. No TV no internet. They keep screwing up their appointment times! They were supposed to come this morning and called our old phone number. Duh! Don't you think you would wonder if its the right number when its a DIFFERENT area code and the phone says that it has been disconnected?!?! Come on here!

I love the house as well! It is very beautiful, Somebody did alot of work and upkeeping for this house to look so good after all these yrs! I love everything about your house, it is def. "original"!

As for the carpet in the living room - my sis and bil's house is all hardwood and they bought a huge piece of carpeting and had it bounded for their living room, that way, there is a border of the beautiful hardwood showing, but the baby has a soft carpet to play on. And, they didn't have to install it permanently.

Yesterday i did 'While you were out' to Mark. My parents came over and helped me put up curtains and i put down the new carpet and everything. It's already covered in Cat hair. :( I am looking for a vacum that will be good on the hardwood floors. But also pick up the cat hair on the carpet. My mom and i are thinking we'll be able to find one in Buffalow when we go in septemeber. We haven't been able to find one here for a price that we are willing to pay. Anyways.... I will post pictures of the one finished room tommorrow afternoon.

Here is the living room all put together. We haven't hung our art up yet. But above the sofa i am going to put my construction of the eiffel tower. There are 4 images of the different stages of building it. Above Marks big chair we are going to put a b/w photo of the Grand Canyon. Then above the stereo and TV we are going to put 3 different b/w photos of a round stair case. This week i hope to get some of the other rooms un-packed so hopefully i can share more this weekend.

The middle window doesn't have a screen. Yesterday i thought the windows were low enough that he wouldn't be able to get out.... well... everything but his butt was out the window. Gave me a bit of a scare that he's actually get out there then get stuck and i'd have to pull him in without knocking him over. UGH! I need new screens!

UGH no! The Rogers guy came out yesterday morning. Late of course! He found that tehre are 2 lines coming into the house. ours is split between us and the guy who lives on teh 3rd floor. And there is not enough signal to give us cable TV, and internet and phone. So they are going to have to come bury a new line. :bbrolleyes:
So i am at my mom's house again today. I'm e-mailing out resumes and posting here while i wait for my files to upload. I love my mom. But i really wish i could be at home in my jammies unpacking things as well. I love to multi-task. lol

LOL i know! I am going to call today if they haven't called me to find out when the line is going to be put in. Possibly threaten to go to their competition if it gets them moving a little faster.

Looks great Jenn! I have a cat now too! Sly was Eric's nephews and since he was raised on the farm he came back when they moved...so now I have a furbaby at my feet when I get home begging for food...I never really cared for cats but I like Sly!

Hope you get settled soon, again it looks great! You can get a "vent" from Lowes or Home Depot that fits in the window and allows air in but nothing else in/out they are about 1.00-3.00! I had to put some in our bonus room upstairs so it would get some air flow (no central A/C)!

LOL i'm beginning to have the same trouble! Poor dusty hasn't gotten used to the floors yet so you occassionaly hear him go slidding by when he has his bursts of energy. The fur is a bit crazier then i'm used to.... i can not wait to get a vacumm that works well on the hardwood.

Until you get the vacumm, those Swiffer dry clothes work pretty well if you use them ever day or two. The get a lot of the hair up.

I always know it is time to schedule Ruffles and Ellie at the groomer because their little feet get so hairy that they slip and slide all the way through the living room.

I agree....everyone loves hard wood until they have to keep the **** stuff clean! lol. I think I've asked Matthew if we could put carpet in every where in our new house!! Lol he refuses. ;) I want hard wood again...but very little of it this time. :D
