I am sending out postcards as my RSVP option instead of envelopes with reply cards. Do I have to put a stamp on them?

Yeah, this is just like sending any other sort of post card, so it will require a stamp to mail.

Maybe I should explain differently :) When I am putting the invitations together to be sent out, do I need to put a stamp on the RSVP card BEFORE it gets sent to guests, or is it the guests responsibility for postage on the RSVP postcard?

it's common practice/etiquette to put an stamp on FOR your guests... i've never had an rsvp card where i've paid postage

yeah, you should put stamps on yourself. But if you're from the US (I'm not sure where you're from) they will be cheaper than normal stamps! So make sure you ask for postcard stamps for your save the dates (they should be $0.28)
