Lily's ear smells! I don't know what to do, I've bathed her really good, and it's been like this a week. A few weeks ago she was swipping at her ear, but she isn't now, and she doesn't have a fever or being fussy...but it smells gross! I wonder if it's an infection? Im takin her to the doc today.

how old is lily now?? has she been on any antibotics lately?? if she is teething she could have an ear infection. Kids don't always have fever or be fussy when teething or ear infections, might wanna call the dr

I know nothing about babies ears but dogs ears smell nasty if they have a yeast infection. I'm glad you are getting her into the doctor today. Let us know what you find out.

Well, no ear infection. She said maybe some milk is dribbling behind her ears. Yuck.

Is it possible that it's not so much in her ear but the lobe? I know she has her ears pierced - there's no chance the piercing is infected is it? I know that infected piercings smell. Just a thought.

I didn't even think of that! You're so smart! How can I tell if it was infected? It's not red or crusty.

Is the piercing too new that you can't take it out? If you can, remove the earring and smell it and see if it smells weird. If it does, clean it and her ear lobes. If you can't remove the piercing just clean her earlobes really well and see if the smell improves. ;)

Right on - give it a couple of days to see if it gets better. I know you said she was swiping at her ear - it's possible maybe it's infected and it was itching her. :crossfingers: I hope you find out whatever it is!
