We just ordered a new set of furniture for our living room and it's being delivered in a few days. I'm trying to figure out accent colors that will go along with the modern feel of the furniture.

This is the set we got:

I like chartreuse against neutral colors in modern living rooms, I think it really pops. I've come up with an orange/chartreuse combo for a bright, cheery feel and a grey/chartreuse combo with splashes of either royal blue or purple for a more relaxed feel.

Any opinions or ideas? I'm open to suggestions as well. Never knew re-designing a room could take over my brain! :laugh2:

I love the idea of a splash of blue. There's something calming about blue for me though so maybe I'm biased! That's great furniture Tara! :)

Since you are town between the cheery/relaxed feel, what about blue and orange? Paint the walls blue and then do some orange accents (pillows, candles, etc.)

Blue and orange has been added to the list of possibilities! Actually, the stock picture from the store of the set is blue and orange accented...I never even thought twice about it.

DH wants the coffee table in this picture. He claims it's part of the set. lol

Here's another blue and orange I found that I like(minus a few cushions!):

I still really like chartreuse. Don't know why, but I keep liking it! Here's some pictures I've saved so far:

More yellow than green:

And not a fan of the zebra head (poor lil' guy!) but this is the chartreuse against white and brown furniture....I love the "pop".

When I saw the title of the thread, I immediately thought green of some sort. I also like the blue/orange combo too.

Also what about a red?

I love grey and yellow. Or the grey and lime combo you posted.

Our old color combo was brown/red/gold, so I'm trying to stay away from those colors. It was a great color scheme, but I need change. :)

Thanks! I'm still in the works with the accents, but I really like the grey chartreuse accent colors so far. :)
