Okay,
My aunt has allowed me to "borrow" her wedding gown for her wedding. (It's not the dress that I wanted, but it is absolutely beautiful!!) Her dress is a sheath (very figure flattering) with pearls all over the dress. I agreed so that I could save money for other areas of the wedding.
So, you ask what's the problem?
This is my 10 year anniversary and we are renewing our vows - My theme is Royalty and I really wanted a "Cinderella" style dress that I would be able to bustle and look like a Southern Belle throughout the reception. All the dresses I looked at were at least $800, so I decided I would just borrow my aunt's dress.
Now, someone has made me an offer to purchase the exact gown that I wanted from David's Bridal for only $250. The dress fits me exactly so no alterations need to be done. Her wedding is in June and mine isn't until January. (We don't know the same people, so I'm not worried about that). The problem is - how do I tell my aunt "that's okay, I found a dress?" without hurting her feelings, she seems so excited!!
