Well ladies, it's that time again. Post card exchange round #4!! Aren't we all excited?! lol. Back by popular demand!! =) Here are the rules again and some info for the newbies:

What is a post card exchange?
The post card exchange is something that our lovely Gwen AKA Rainbowtreat started up for us. In this exchange we get the chance to exchange post cards from other States, Countries...even continents!

How do I join this exchange?
At this time we are only accepting senior members to join us in doing the exchange because of personal preferences of members. So if you're a Senior Member, you're welcome to join. Just post here and send Gwen (rainbowtreat) your address if you are new.

I've missed past exchanges or have been excluded...why?
Gwen and I talked about this. We really want to keep it moving quickly and keep it fair to everyone. If you are getting married around the time that the exchange is set up for, please consider not joining until after your wedding. we don't want you to be preoccupied with a post card and we also don't want the person who would be your buddy to get forgotten, because we all know how weddings can get busy and exciting and it's easy to forget about a postcard! ;)

Is there any way I might not be included?

If you are a new member and haven't hit Senior Member status, then yes you will not be included until then. Also, if in the past we have found that you joined and then didn't follow the rules, we may send you a PM explaining why we can't include you. Usually we like to give some leniant time, but like I said before we want to keep it moving. To date, we have not asked anyone to not join the post card exchanges but we have had some we had to drop out for one round because of address issues and time constraints! We welcome all SENIOR MEMBERS to join us again!! =)

Can the post cards only be showing where you are from or can it be of anything?
We would like the postcards to be from your City/town you live in or of the state/province/area you are from.

Will we know who sent us the post card and vice versa or is it like a secret buddy kinda thing?
This is a secret buddy kind of thing. At the end of it all Gwen will reveal who has who. At the end of the thread after everyone has recieved their postcards.

Here are the rules:

-You must post here to state that you do want to be included in exchange #4. Just because you were in the last exchange does not mean you will be in the next. Please let us know in this thread!! :)

-the 3rd of August will be the last day to get into the exchange.

-We have decided that only Senior Members or members who have previously been in the exchange will be included in the exchange. This is for reasons of the fact that we don't necessarily really know the new people and some don't want their home addresses given out to just anyone. (I'm sure we can all understand that one! :wink: )

-We've decided to do a two week time limit on getting your postcards in the mail. Gwen will announce what day all post cards will need to be in the mail by when she sends out the names! So please if you're going to join the post card exchange, let's get those post cards ahead of time. It's not fair when everyone else recieves their postcards and someone is left out waiting!

So I think thats it...oh and of course, if you're new to the exchange (and your a senior member ) you will need to PM Gwen your address.

ETA- We will only accept names of people who continue to be an active member on Onewed. If you pop in from time to time for obvious reasons we cannot accept your desire to be in the exchange as we don't see you online enough to warrant it. (i hope that anyone in this position can understand as we are afraid you'll join and then not be online until after everyone has received their buddy and sent them out. Your buddy would be left out because you weren't around and we would not like to see this happen!)

I completely understand because a lot of people spell my name shauna and I had a friend named shauna and her and I had a falling out. I always get upset when people spell my name wrong! I feel so bad, I am so sorry! :(

So far we've been doing this every month or so. If I'm not mistaken I think it is 100 posts to be a Senior Member.

I hope so. I think it's fun to get the note. I have mine saved in a plastic sheet in my wedding planning book right now. Anyone who looks at it sees them, and think it's neat when I explain where they came from.

Ive always included a note and my name. All of the ones Ive received were the same. I have even PM'd my budies to say thanks. I think its neat not knowing who got you until you get the card. If we state who we had or who we got our cards from, by process of elimination, someone could figure it out and it could ruin the surprise for the ones that dont want to know till its over.

I want to ask that every one be sure not to delete their buddies name and addy. I Know it happens and cant be helped but I have had 4 already this round and 3 just today. If EVERY ONE did this I would be sending the list out all over again.

treasia, yes, when you get your post card just post a quick note in this thread so they can keep track of who has gotten theirs. Just don't say on here who sent it to you. Gwen will post a list at the end with who had what name.

I always put a note and my name at the bottom. I have been saving all the addresses in a little book. I'd like to start sending out cards to people for birthdays, their weddings, and such. IF that's ok with everyone.....I don't want to make anyone upset cause I'm hanging on to address. but I have a feeling no one will mind!!! :o)

I delete the address once I send the postcard. I didn't even think to keep them. But I have all my postcards on my refrigerator. I am planning on getting a corkboard to display them on. I love them!!! :D

Well it seems as though most of arkansas's cards have outhouses on them or people with their teeth gone. i hate that.

Most of the postcards out here just have the Atlanta cityscape on them, or some dogwood trees or Stone Mountain. I guess this is cool for someone who doesn't know about the area, but pretty boring for me ;) I found a few with a nice sunset on them and got those :D

Our post cards usually have Alligators or Beaches! I didn't want to send a pic. of an Alligator, I think we all know what they look like! LOL! :)

It's very funny how long it seems to take some times. I've sent stuff to people that i can drive to in a day and it takes much longer then the places i couldn't drive to. I'm going to assume crossing the boarder is also a bit of a slow down.
