Does anyone happen to watch The View, weekday mornings on ABC? I really like The View, but because I am not usually at home during that hour I don't usually watch it. Since I dropped my class I will be able to watch it for another couple of weeks. My question is-is Star Jones Reynolds not on the show anymore? I have heard bits and pieces about her, but not the whole scoop. Anyone know?

I read in people that she was fired and since Rosie O donell is joining she wanted out any way. Guess the two don't like each other...I don't blame Star, Rosie is loud and obnoxious IMO. (And she's a lying fraud too, but that's a whole nother story! lol)

I knew Rosie was coming. I don't really like her that much either. I just looked on their website and Meredith is gone too! I liked the old cast better! See what happens since I go to school! Gosh!

Yes Meredith quit/retired before Star announced she was going too. I guess Barbara Walter's wanted to act like Star didn't want to renew her contract but in an interview with People, Star Jones stated that she was fired. (That's what I've heard and what I've read.)

Well she wasn't fired so much as they terminated her contract. But I guess she also wants to make them look bad! ;)

What happened was that Barbara Walters and the View team told Star a few months back that they were not going to renew her contract and it was decied that they would wait and make the announcement that she wasn't returning until teh end of the season....well Star decided a few weeks back or so, right during a live View broadcast to announce this. Ms. Walters was pissed and made a public statement about it...and then Star did a bunch of interviews. She ahd already done an interview with one of the mags. and it was gonna be out a few days after her announcement anyways...so she just decided to do it in front of the rest of the woman on live TV. Merideth left to take Katie Couric's spot on the Today Show...or whatever teh heck she was on!!!!

I'm glad she did that! I always liked her and I prob. would have done that myself! (What were they going to do fire her?! LOL.)
