Post pictures of your reception favors!
My favors arrived today. I love them! Now, I have to tie the ribbons around the bases. Also, for 14 of them, I'm going to put little hearts in the ribbons. The person who is sitting with the glass that has the heart, will get to take the centerpieces home. Here they are:

Here are Amber's favors.
These are miniature plastic chinese takeout containers that we are going to fill with light and dark purple M&Ms. We are going to have "Amber & Jason" printed on one side of the M&M, and "9/9/06" on the other. Then we are tying a lavender bow on each container, and adding this tag which will say "Thank You!".

This fan will be placed on each chair at the ceremony.

And these miniature picture frames are their placecards.

Comments on this postJopet agrees: Can I be rude and ask how much you paid for them?
I got them from a website that doe favors at wholesale costs, which means the more you buy the less they cost. I got them at 3.45 per glass. Other sites showed the same thing at 8.95 per glass. I think I got them pretty cheap!

Here are mine. We also had white hats. We filled them with skittles. I made the tags to go on them. We had 4 or 5 different colored ribbon. As to go with the theme of my wedding, rainbow colored.

Our DYI wedding favours - 3 butterfly note cards & envelopes, tied with ribbon and decorated with a seed paper butterfly.
We found the images online, printed them and glued them to raised panel of the card stock. There were reallly supposed to be 4 cards per pack but we ran out of card stock and it was too late to order more. :) We are also giving little flower design boxes filled with mints, with an origami butterfly attached.

I'm doing black print with the monogram and a dark plum and silver ribbon.
Filling them with plastic baggies ($1.29 for 100)http://home.onemain.com/~glassine/ziplock_poly_bags.htm containing an herb/spice mix (bought in bulk 2lbs for $16) and including a recipe/thank you note. (I'm really into food!) Total cost for favors: about $80 for 150 favors or about 53 cents apiece.

I'm really thinking about ordering red and yellow M & Ms. I thought the personalized ones were expensive for the amount you get. But how many favors did you make and how many lbs of M & Ms did you buy? I'm trying to figure out how much mine will cost :).

Can I ask where you found the images at? They really turned out clear, and it is hard to find good quality, free images off of the internet.

Try Istock photo - http://www.istockphoto.com/index.php. You can get some great high res photos at a reasonable price $2 - $10 each.

Our favors were almost a mini disaster. My MIL had very kindly ordered some do it yourself tulle favors that she'd seen on a DIY show. They were supposed to hold sugared almonds. She told me about them awhile back, and I'd taken a wait and see approach because I couldn't imagine them at all. All I knew is that she'd ordered "all the roses and feathers we'll need". :bbconfused:
When we sat down to put them together 2 weeks before the wedding, we realized that we didn't have any instructions. So, we tried to put them together the way she remembered them from the show, but all we could do is laugh at the finished product.
So, I made a judgement call and ditched the feathers, and wrapped the rose around the favor instead of sticking it out the top. They're not great, but they worked. Oh, and we used Iris bulbs instead of candy.

oops i replied in the wrong place. does it really matter where i post it??
i'm not sure what your question was, sorry. did you mean if there were still any more on ebay? there are a ton, you just have to look around for a good deal. i kept an eye on things for about a month before a purchased them so i knew when it was a price i wanted.
they are called "sand and shell tealight holder". you can't choose the sand. it's all ready to go when you get them.
i hope that answers your questions!
