View Full Version : Workplace/away from home woes.
I went to the restroom this morning and realized I have a 2" tear in the butt of my pants
Thank goodness I have my belly band on cuz I was able to pull it down around my butt to cover it :laugh2:
What's happened to you and how did you fix it? :toast:

I've gone to work with a hole in my butt where the pocket is sewn on. When I realized it, I just pulled my shirt down so you couldn't see it. That's about the worst wardrobe malfunction I've ever had.
DH ripped his pants AND boxers at work one day and instead of going home to change after work (he just works with his dad) we went to his parents house for dinner. He walked around with his bare @ss cheek showing. It was too funny! His siblings were horrified! On the way home we had to stop at a gas station and I didn't have my ID (to buy cigarettes) so I knew I couldn't go in and buy them because I always get carded. So we tucked his shirt in really tight to try and get the shirt to cover his butt cheek but that didn't work so then we tied my little sweatshirt around his waist. He looked so stupid it was hilarious!!!
Nicole a stapler is a good idea for a fix!

I usually keep an extra paid of clothes in my car because I'm known to have way too many accidents at work from time of the month to spilled coffee.
Since I dont have a car now I usually have a sweater on the back of my chair so I could always wrap it around my waist.
Stapler is a good one and safety pins, if really desperate I use paperclips.

I tend to get dresses stuck in doors. I've ripped the skirts of 2 different dresses in the past year that I recall. One was sort of an obscene rip. :whoa:

We had casual Friday a few months back. I had my favorite DKNY jeans on and I sat down and they ripped in the crotch! The worst part? I was wearing bright pink underwear so no matter how hard I tried to cover it up, pink was always showing through!
Thankfully, I work a minute from the mall. I told my boss, she laughed, and I went to Boston Store to buy a new pair.

I tend to buy a few different colors in shoes that I like since I had strange shaped feet. So once I went to work wearing one black shoe and one brown shoe. I just dealt with it and hoped that no once would notice. That was the last time I got dressed in the dark though.

I have split my pants in the back before and gone home to change. Once I split my pants in the crotch, but lucky for me it was at lunch and I just went home and changed. At the time I worked close to home; I told everyone what happened since it was obvious that I had changed.
Another time I split my pants getting out of the car at work, so I had to go home and change and was late.
I have lost buttons on my shirts or pants before and used safety pins or staples ;)
Sort of a funny side story ... one time my boss was the one that had an accident at work. He called me into his office and told me what happened and had me run down the street to get him a new pair of pants.

I wore mismatched socks before; I think I told people and we all got a laugh out of it ;)
