What is your fave thing to cook for your other half??

I don't cook! DH doesn't really either! Although he's better than me. We're the king and queen of the microwave. :bbredface:

I did make a loaf of banana bread the other day for him and DH almost fell over when he realized the oven had been used. ;)

I dont know why but FH LOVES rice crispy treats! Hes so crazy over them. Ill fix a pan of them and within 2 days its gone and ive only had one piece lol!

DH loves it when i cook Sausages (Burn them more like lol) He reckons i cook them better than he does. He also loves it when i make Eve's Pudding.

DH is the better cook though. He wanted to be a Chef in the Army but was one exam result short of getting in.

He loves to cook meals from scratch. No frozen produce etc. All fresh meat / fish, Veggies, herbs and spices.

I tend to throw things in one pot and stir away. The Girls love it when i make Stew and Suet Dumplings.

DH basically loves it whenever I cook cause I hate to but we do split it about 50/50....some of the things he loves are my cheesy chili soup, everyday chicken pot pie, shepards pie, etc.

For a date night - I love doing steak and mushrooms, shrimp and potatoes.

DH loves cookies and rice krispies. If I really want to please him, he loves homemade pizza!

For fancy dinners, I usually make a filet with a red wine reduction sauce. For everyday dinners, my hubby loves it when I make my Springtime Bowtie Pasta. It's so yummy!! It's got asiago cheese, white wine, a little cream, ham and asparagus in it. It's a super easy weeknight recipe that tastes great.

I don't really have a fav think I like to make for DH, but he usually asks for Italian when I saw I want to make something special. Something like manicotti or lasagna usually. Steaks and baked potatos are a fav of his too.

He likes it when I make his mother's recipe for tea cake cookies. He also likes "pink stuff"; it is basically whipped cream, cherries and pineapple chunks. I used to make a good key lime pie that he liked, but I got burnt out on it. He is good with just a plan box cake too.

I am always looking for more dinner ideas and I want to try to bake more. And I like to add wine or liquor to stuff too.

There are some good ideas in this thread already; anyone have recipes to share?

It's delicious in my opinion and I love that its fairly quick once the chicken is cooked.

If we're in the mood for, my favorite thing to make is crock pot lasagna. It's really easy and very tasty. I also enjoy making roast in the crock pot, which is another easy option. I think those are DH's favorite things that I make (other than maybe puppy chow/muddy buddies, hehe).

Hmmm...that's a toughie. We cook together a lot, but when I make up a nice dinner for him it's always extra special when I add a dessert to it since we don't do dessert often. Also, I'll usually do something in courses. I made a 7 course anniversary dinner complete with a palate cleanser sorbet once. Yep, once. LOL.
