Alright ladies, we have decided to go with a Cinderella/Fairytale theme for our engagement party. I need help with some ideas that arent too cheesy and that wont land me with a party that looks like a 6 year old's birthday party. We're using the colors of Iced/Baby Blue, Black, White, and Silver.
Please help me ladies!!

This is for your engagement party? I think keeping it simple would keep it from being on the childish side.

We're trying to keep it simple but we're going to be using decorations to make the theme come out. I just wanted some ideas because my mom and I are going shopping for a lot fo stuff tomorrow...

In about 4 weeks we will have a thread titled weekly theme number 8 and it will be all about a Cinderella themed wedding. Look for it then. There will be lots and lots of ideas.

Quite often you can find candle holders that look like glass slippers. that would be cute all wrapped in pretty thick ribbon.
Have you checked the disney store online? They quite often have big sales and I'm sure you could find somthing small and cute on there that you could buy in bulk. There also very quick to arrive. My cake topper is from that site.
Something shiney and girly would be a nice way to go.
Are you planning to use any of these themes in your wedding aswell?

I've seen glass slipper favor holders at places like Hobby Lobby and Michael's. What about some pretty candies or something like that in the slippers? I think they were sold in packages of 12. I know this sounds a little like the "6 year old's birthday" you were trying to avoid, but what about those doll cakes (barbie-type doll with a cake skirt) that all of us had for our birthdays when we were kids? You could have one made to look like a bride or like Cinderella. They also have those sheet cakes now that have pretty much any picture you bring in can be reproduced on the cake.
