I have developed a patch of acne on the back of my neck, it started out as getting 1 or 2 zits and over the last month or so has totally broken out into a whole field of zits! I don't know why it suddenly came on or how to get rid of it, it is just on my neck, never had it there before! I am so embarrassed by it, I don't want people to see it and think that my whole back is covered or something! I told Mark if it doesn't go away I am going to have to wear a scarf all summer! But seriously, I am getting married in August and it had better be gone, but it just keeps getting worse!
Does anyone have any tips or tricks to get rid of acne? I can't see it so I don't know how bad it looks, but I can feel it and it feels ugly lol help me please!!!

Are you sure it is pimples and not some sort of bumpy rash?

I have mild eczema and get a rash on the back of my neck a lot.

Well I guess I would try an acne wash and creme and/or see a dermatologist.

I hope you figure something out to get rid of it soon.

Have you changed your shampoo/hair care products any time right before it started? I'd say be sure to put your hair up off your neck for a little bit - although they might show, it'll give the skin room to breathe and it'll dry your skin up. Might try changing your shampoo back or to something else and see if that helps too! Good luck!

This was my first thought as well. Any change in chemicals that you've made recently might have done this.
But if not then I would see a dermatologist. It's weird that they're only in this one place.
:goodluck:

I was thinking that too, but I haven't changed from my usual brand, and my hair is alllways up so my neck is pretty open, the only thing that I can think of is I have been wearing scarfs lately since it is winter and maybe it is the fabric or just having a scarf around my neck that caused it. I will need to see my dr for a referral to a dermatologist which is going to take a long time so I had better get on it!

If they are like a whitehead, pusy type people - take a hot washcloth and lay it on it. The hot water will draw the pus to the surface and even open them. Use some sort of astriginent on the area as well.

Also, when washing longer hair, if you tilt your head back, the oils from your hair can sometimes cause acne there - my hairdresser told me this.

My chin and forehead did this a couple weeks ago but the pimples were all under the skin and was driving me nuts. In amongst a bunch of my sister's leftover supplies from running her own aesthetics shop I found this decongestant cleanser she had told me about, I've been using that twice a day for the past couple weeks and it has totally cleared up my face.

This is what I've been using I believe. It's a skincare line called Bioelements and I know it is a decongestant cleanser. I can't tell by the packaging because my sister's bottle is a lot bigger then that because she was using it for facials in her salon so obviously had a bigger bottle.

Thanks girls, I will try getting Mark to put something on it, right now if I touch the back of my neck I can feel a bunch of little spots and 2 big lumps. I wonder if it could be my hair, or maybe my shampoo and conditioner, my scalp has been really itchy lately and I can feel some little bumps on it that may be pimples.
I will look into that Bioelements stuff, thanks!
