Hello Ladies:)

Newly engaged (feb 25) and super excited! I'm already stressing out, and realizing how much I underestimated the amount of research that a DIY wedding would require.

My fiance, Tyler, is amazing. He is somewhat useless when it comes to wedding planning, but I have gotten a few much-needed responses out of him and the outlook is staying positive:) :) :) I love him!

We are planning on March 2011, just to give us plenty of time. Our families have been great and really supportive, despite every ones chaotic lifestyles.

I'm really looking forward to having this forum as a kind of calming agent in the already-crazy planning cycle. Thanks!

Congrats! Hope your planning goes well. I had trouble getting my df to help with planning. but i found ways to make him think it was his idea to help plan. But good luck. glad there is someone else from north texas on here.

I am glad FH and I have so much time to plan. We got engaged in September 2009 and are getting married in April 2011. Works out well with school.

Welcome, and congrats! Your fiance sounds like my husband was... not so into the planning but there for the important decisions. I think a lot of men are like that, but that's ok.. we love them! :)

As one of the men here, might I say, Congrats! And the ladies are right. Most of us guys ARE rather useless when it comes to the planning...but not ALL of us. ;) You'll find ways to get him involved...don't worry.
